Bachelor's degree required, 3-5 years of communications and marketing experience, preferably in a college/university or nonprofit setting, with strong writing and multimedia skills.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
This role focuses on enhancing alumni and donor engagement through strategic marketing and communications initiatives within the University Advancement Office.

Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for developing and executing internal and external communications and marketing strategy and materials for the University Advancement Office. Reporting to the Vice President of Advancement, this position will work closely with Advancement staff to effectively enhance alumni, donor engagement and philanthropy with the university.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute marketing and communication plans in support of the Office of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving’s strategic priorities.
- Coordinate and oversee all communication and marketing efforts to encourage participation in various initiatives of the Offices of Alumni Engagement, Annual Giving and Planned Giving, including volunteer opportunities, programs, special events, and giving.
- Maintain a uniform brand identity in the design and production of all print and online marketing and communication materials in keeping with the Campbell University brand standards and editorial guidelines.
- Responsible for the development of internal and external communications, including, but not limited to, writing program content, blog posts, alumni profiles, web content, social media messages, emails, and electronic newsletters.
- Maintain active social media presence for Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving.
- Coordinate all email communication efforts on behalf of University Advancement including but not limited alumni engagement and annual giving and maintain timely updates to the address database.
- Act as a liaison between the Offices and the University’s communications office.
- Regularly update content for the Alumni and Giving website (text, video, graphics) while collaborating with campus Web Communications team on overall design.
- Identify and write articles/content for the website and alumni/donor relations materials.
- Maintain organized and accurate records and vendors of annual marketing-communication platforms, including resources and costs as applicable.
- Take photos and coordinate professional photography/videography to support marketing efforts.
- Analyze and interpret data to identify opportunities for communication enhancement.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Uphold and abide by all Campbell University policies and procedures, including, but not limited to; Title IX and Information Security, including FERPA and other state and federal guidelines.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required
3-5 years of communications and marketing experience; writing and multi-media skills necessary
Marketing and communications experience in a college/university or nonprofit setting desired
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences through both oral and written channels
Possess a high level of writing, editing and general communication skills and effective public relations practices, with knowledge of AP Style
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Word with familiarity with Wordpress CMS
Familiarity with software including Mail Chimp and Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
Effective decision-making capabilities
Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects, and still meet strict deadlines
Ability to organize, direct, prioritize, and delegate work appropriately
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to demonstrate tact, courtesy, and discretion in dealing with faculty, staff, students, high-level university officials, and the public
Ability to work independently as well as function effectively in a team and within a diverse group of people
Ability to exercise independent judgment in complex and new situations
