SHORT DESCRIPTION

Seeking a Director of Brand to shape and define the brand strategy for Kikoff, helping to enhance customer credit-building solutions and improve financial lives.

We’re looking for a Director of Brand who can help us continue to grow as the #1 credit-building app. Kikoff financial products have already helped hundreds of thousands of customers improve their credit scores; and with your help we can improve the financial lives of millions more.

You will be our first brand hire and define our brand strategy, metrics, positioning and initiatives with our cofounders and leadership. Our ideal candidate is someone who can leverage consumer data and user insights to build a compelling brand strategy and vision and bring it to life by rallying and influencing cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels. You understand our space and users and shape and tell our story with bold initiatives, crisp execution and help move our brand metrics and quantify results.

This is a full-time non-remote role based in our San Francisco headquarters.

What you can expect in this role:

  • Turn customer insights into product marketing strategy: speaking to customers is very important to us – we expect you to roll up your sleeves and get direct feedback from customers: analyzing customer data, partnering with our Customer Support team, conducting surveys, customer interviews, and more.

  • Create and execute on go-to-market plans: you’ll own a roadmap for product adoption and initiatives to ensure the best possible customer experience.

  • Launching new products & features: as part of a high growth startup, you’ll have the opportunity to drive the launch & adoption of multiple new products and features.

  • Own end-to-end marketing campaigns: you’ll work with a team to execute on marketing campaigns, from campaign strategy, to design and creative, and then sharing the results and metrics.

What will help make you successful:

  • Over 10 years in consumer brand marketing or related roles, ideally with fintech experience

  • Proven track record in motivating, guiding, and developing cross-functional teams, fostering creativity, maintaining high standards, executing quickly and delivering results.

  • Skilled in being the voice of the customer, aligning brand strategy with customer and business needs, and translating insights into GTM fundamentals like segmentation, messaging, and competitive positioning.

  • Combines creative ideas and thinking with data-driven decision-making to lead brand marketing campaigns and decisions and drive measurable results across omni-channel platforms.

  • Expertise in developing brand strategies, leveraging cultural insights, and delivering campaigns that enhance brand equity and drive customer affinity.

  • Adept at aligning stakeholders across diverse teams with competing priorities to ensure cohesive execution of marketing strategies.

  • Ability to craft compelling stories, refine messaging through iteration, and inspire teams with clear and passionate storytelling.

  • Deep experience with brand strategy, social platforms, partnerships, retail marketing, and experiential campaigns, executed at scale.

  • Culturally savvy, curious, and agile in fast-paced environments, constantly innovating while staying true to the brand identity.
