LOCATION
Remote position with potential travel to client sites.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, minimum 5 years of experience in CRO, Biotech, Pharmaceutical, or related field, proven ability to exceed a $5M sales goal, and strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive new business growth, establish high-value relationships, develop strategic initiatives, manage contract negotiations, maintain sales pipeline, and monitor sales metrics.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
Acclinate is seeking a Director of Business Development to drive revenue growth by securing new business and cultivating relationships within the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors.
Description
- Establish, cultivate, and nurture high-value relationships with decision-makers at targeted prospects.
- Develop and lead the strategic development of new business initiatives.
- Identify and generate qualified new business opportunities within the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create and submit compelling proposals.
- Directly handle contract negotiations with executive management.
- Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline.
- Monitor and report on sales metrics and market conditions. Provide regular updates to the Head of Business Development and contribute to sales forecasting and planning.
- Possess thorough knowledge of the clinical trial industry, including trends in diversity and community engagement.
- Counsel clients on industry best practices.
- Accurately manage pipeline/forecast to guide resource allocation.
- Meet or exceed assigned sales objectives/quotas.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the competitive landscape.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline. (Direct experience may be considered in lieu of education)
- Minimum 5 years of experience within a CRO, Biotech, Pharmaceutical, healthcare marketing/patient recruitment agency, or related field.
- Experience selling enterprise-level opportunities to clinical teams is a plus.
- Proven ability to hit, sustain, and exceed a $5M sales goal.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated success in developing C-Level/VP-Level/Director-Level relationships.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach.

Salary
$90,000 - $110,000 per year
