Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Director of Business Development at ScoutWorks. The Director of Business Development will be responsible for leading sales activities, managing accounts, overseeing sales operations, developing business, and driving sales growth for the auto and heavy equipment claim services.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage new potential clients, including auto insurance companies, repair shops, dealerships, and fleet managers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activity, and potential business opportunities.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve sales targets, sales quota and expand market presence.
  • Conduct presentations, product demos, and negotiations to secure contracts and close new business deals.
  • Engage and implement a robust outreach program using CRM and marketing tools (i.e. email marketing)
  • Monitor and maintain sales metrics and KPIs, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve set goals.
  • Build and manage strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in the auto claims and repair ecosystem.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to foster brand awareness and establish new business connections.
  • Promote the company’s auto appraisal, photos, staffing, virtual and repair claims services to prospective clients and partners.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to create sales collateral, presentations, and marketing campaigns tailored to target markets.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering tailored solutions that align with their needs and business goals.
  • Assist clients with navigating the claims and repair process, ensuring the services provided meet their expectations and comply with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the appraisal and repair teams to ensure smooth service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Provide feedback and insights to management to improve operational processes and offerings.
  • Provide regular reports on business development activities, sales performance, and market trends.
  • Conduct competitor analysis to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth in the marketplace.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years in business development, sales, or account management within the auto insurance, claims, or repair industries.
  • Strong understanding of the auto appraisal, repair claims process, and insurance industry practices.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and securing new business opportunities.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work remotely and manage a remote sales team
  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business, Marketing, or related field
