SHORT DESCRIPTION

Dynamic Director of Health Care Marketing needed to drive growth initiatives for orthopedic practices in Georgia, requiring a strategic thinker with a strong marketing background in the medical industry.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Director of Health Care Marketing to join our Marketing Team. This role will manage and oversee the marketing and growth initiatives for Resurgens Orthopaedics and Pinnacle Orthopaedics, United Musculoskeletal Partners (UMP GA) orthopedic partner practices in Georgia. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in marketing and growth within the medical and healthcare industry, demonstrating the ability to drive revenue growth, new patient volume, manage teams and build strong relationships with referring providers and health systems.

This role requires a strategic thinker with experience in strategic planning, budget management, market intelligence and integration of marketing with other functions that service the Georgia market. This position demands excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to changing industry trends. The successful candidate will be results-oriented, highly motivated, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include implementing and executing marketing initiatives, analyzing market trends, and providing regular reports to leadership. This role will also manage sales staff, ensuring accountability for growth metrics, developing marketing strategies, and representing the company at industry events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)

As a key member of the Marketing Team the Director of Marketing will:

  • Partner with internal marketing team to execute strategies and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Lead and manage a sales staff focused on driving additional referral volume to UMP GA practices.
  • Assist in planning and administering marketing budget.
  • Support and facilitate development and implementation of regional marketing plans.
  • Partner with physician leaders to ensure alignment to marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Be an active, visible leader in the market making regular visits to the practices; spending at least three days per week in a UMP GA office
  • Coordinate overall marketing plan for the practices with those of the specialty centers, including marketing and sales tactics.
  • Use data to develop and implement effective marketing strategies focused on growing orthopedic service lines, subspecialties and locations.
  • Track referrals and assess marketing activities through reports from both marketing and sales monthly for the Board of Directors and Regional POB’s.
  • Partner with operational teams to identify opportunities for increased patient access.
  • Manage and identify local and national partnership and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Analyze market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve company goals.
  • Review practice month end reports, to include but not limited to new patient counts by provider, revenues, and targeted service lines.
  • Prepares monthly marketing reports and other marketing reports, as needed.
  • Performs special projects as requested.
  • Responsible for all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in managing a marketing/sales team
  • Healthcare marketing experience preferred, with an understanding of managed care and reimbursement dynamics (payor strategy) and subspecialty growth

  • Ability to lead and manage teams

  • Ability to track, trend and understand data relevant to growth and opportunity
  • Driven and self-motivated with the ability to perform at a high level working autonomously when needed
  • Understanding of business data/outcomes and experience using data to support/refute hypotheses, build strategies and guide actions
  • Technically literate with computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM platform(s) and EMRs
  • A client service mentality – you understand that we exist to support and deliver for the practices that are part of UMP
  • Passion and infectious enthusiasm for the brand you represent
