Hemper is seeking a Director of Marketing to lead and grow its brand in the smoking accessories e-commerce space, focusing on strategic marketing initiatives, customer engagement, and team leadership.
Hemper has an exciting, high-growth marketing position available for a Director of Marketing, reporting to the CEO and Creative Head. The ideal candidate will be a strategic, creative, data-focused and results-driven leader.
Hemper is an early stage e-commerce tech startup that is the only marketplace focused on bringing the world’s finest monthly smoking boxes and applicable accessories to be accessible online. This is an opportunity to develop and grow an exciting brand and company.
This role will oversee the planning, development and execution of the company's marketing and growth strategy and initiatives that are consistently tied to our underlying brand principles, value proposition and B2B and B2C customer needs.
We are looking for exceptional leadership skills, a strong team player, and big-picture thinking with proven ability to execute and drive results.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Define and execute the marketing vision and growth strategy for Hemper and of our various key strategic initiatives that are consistently tied to our business goals, brand vision, value proposition and importantly B2B and B2C customer needs.
-- Influencing product strategy and the way we bring products to market, combining research, positioning, and messaging to maximize adoption.Ensure that all content is developed and executed to support revenue objectives and cohesive to the brands and products. Work with the marketing team to evaluate the consumer journey and make recommendations on where elements of branding and marketing can assist to acquire new customers and better serve existing ones
-Direct the social media and SEM strategy across channels; prioritize channels based on ROI and importance to the brand; oversee the generation of new ideas and programs.
-Oversee the marketing calendar, collaborate with the other relevant teams to execute marketing initiatives
-Oversee the ideation, development and execution of initiatives such as pop-ups, events, and collaborations with our store partners and influencers to increase brand awareness and brand equity segments online and offline.
-Lead, mentor and grow the marketing team.
Manage the marketing budget and develop business cases as required, tracking and measuring execution throughout
-Drive development and execution of PR initiatives with external partners/agencies. Ensure that all communications and publication strategies align with business objectives and branding.
QUALIFICATIONS
-Min. 3-5 years of related experience with a proven track record
-Undergraduate degree required.
-Must be a creative individual and passionate about the e0commerce subscription box space and the smoking accessory industry
-Digital marketing experience required including managing SEM/SEO, email, and social media campaigns. Ability to set-up, manage and utilize GoogleAnalytics and other analytics platforms to execute marketing initiatives.
-Experience and understanding of Shopify
-Ability to operate with an agile, growth-driven, entrepreneurial mindset.
-Analytical and relies on data as part of decision-making process
-A proven team leader
-Ability to maintain a forward-looking and upbeat attitude consistently
-Ability to make tough calls based on data.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
