Cunningham Restaurant Group seeks a Director of Marketing with strong experience in marketing operations and leadership to enhance brand presence and drive business growth through strategic initiatives and effective team management.
Cunningham Restaurant Group is currently searching for a Director of Marketing to join the CRG team. The ideal candidate for this position would possess a strong knowledge and understanding of marketing operations and how they support the restaurant functions. This role is cross-functional and will be integral in assisting the organization in the development and implementation of all marketing reporting and operations as assigned. This will be accomplished through strong project management, and timely output for all work, along with a meticulous attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management & Leadership:
Lead and manage a marketing team of 4-5 team members.
Provide guidance and oversight for all marketing functions, ensuring efficient collaboration across the organization.
Mentor and develop the team, setting clear goals and metrics for success.
Corporate & Restaurant Marketing:
Oversee corporate marketing initiatives including community relations, public relations, event planning, and donation management.
Manage restaurant-specific marketing efforts, including menus, uniforms, supplies, and restaurant collateral.
Develop strategies to drive business to restaurants through local community engagement, events, and promotions.
Digital Marketing & Content Management:
Oversee the maintenance and update of website content, Google listings, and SEO optimization.
Regularly report on marketing metrics, including loyalty programs, email campaigns, website performance, and social media engagement.
Manage social media content creation, paid ads, and overall social media strategy.
Manage email marketing frequency, messaging, and design to maximize engagement and conversions.
Platform & Technology Management:
Oversee and manage marketing technology platforms, including Paytronix, Birdeye, Tripleseat, Online Ordering, OpenTable, Card Prov, and Google Apps.
Manage the Gift Card & Loyalty platforms, ensuring accurate reporting and functionality.
Brand Development & Design Oversight:
Lead the development and enforcement of CRG branding standards across all platforms.
Supervise a graphic designer to create high-quality design needs for all restaurants, particularly for high-end concepts and events.
Oversee the production of recruitment materials and promotional materials.
Customer Engagement & Relationship Management:
Oversee customer service inquiries, including fielding guest feedback and addressing concerns.
Oversee VIP programs, including card merges, adjustments, and points management.
Reporting & Strategy:
Develop and execute quarterly marketing strategies tailored to each restaurant’s needs and goals.
Stay current with market trends and competitor activities, brainstorming new initiatives to drive business growth.
Track and report on key marketing metrics, ensuring the marketing activities align with the organization’s goals.
Events & Community Relations:
Plan and execute community relations efforts and events to strengthen brand presence and loyalty.
Attend relevant industry events and build relationships with potential partners, influencers, and key stakeholders.
Research and implement new market entry strategies, including recruitment campaigns and brand-building efforts in new locations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Advertising, or Communications is preferred.
Knowledge and comfort of use utilizing various systems of technology.
Ability to manage a team and function to meet organizational goals.
Ability to analyze data and report accurately on the metrics, but also a review of performance.
Project management experience with hands-on design and execution.
Organized, detail-oriented, initiative-taking, creative, and enthusiastic.
Must possess an elevated level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
Intermediate level of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite Programs (including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop).
Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
