QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS Degree in Marketing or related field, minimum 7 years of experience in marketing, knowledge of media buying and promotions, managerial experience, and proficiency in social media platforms and marketing software.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee marketing functions, develop promotional campaigns, manage relationships with event promoters and media partners, handle advertising negotiations, and supervise the marketing team. SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Director of Marketing will lead the marketing department at Desert Diamond Arena, focusing on event promotion and branding, managing marketing campaigns, building relationships with key partners, and overseeing a team to drive revenue through various sales opportunities.

Advertising and promotions:
- Ensure the development, implementation, maintenance and reconciliation of comprehensive marketing and promotional plans.
- Negotiate advertising rates and contracts, explore non-traditional media-related sponsorship agreements, and contract successfully for events
- Create, prepare and implement advertising and promotional plans for booked events in conjunction with tour promoter.
- Negotiate and maintain promotional partnerships with corporate partners and media representatives.
- Nurture key relationships with event promoters, media partners, and overseeing the media buying and billing process.
- Develops & facilitates Sales & Marketing campaigns in support of Premium Seating, Private Events and other lines of business.

Advertising/Public Relations Function:
- Revenue prospecting, contract negotiation and fulfillment
- Establish local marketing and advertising relationships to form promotional partnership and trade opportunities
- Generate new marketing leads, negotiate agreements and activate trades to reduce departmental spending and to help offset budgeted line items.

Administrative:
- Manage event media settlement, including collecting invoices, coding and back up materials · Oversee and direct content updates on venue and ticketing website
- Develop a sales strategy to sell tickets
- Oversee website maintenance, email marketing, social media initiatives and graphic design projects as well as other marketing duties as needed
- Manage, coach, counsel and direct the activities of the Manager, Marketing and Social Media
- A minimum education level of: BA/BS Degree (4-year) in Marketing (preferred), Business or related
- A minimum of 7 years of related work experience
- Knowledge of marketing, media buying, promotions, sponsorship management, public relations, website and social network maintenance
- Managerial experience with ability to lead and represent the Marketing Department
- Works well independently and as part of a team.
- Creative thinking, strong initiative, and verbal presentation skills.
- Self- starter, strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Power Point, Word, Excel, Photoshop, Illustrator, and web research strategies.
- Proficient in social platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Google +, Instagram, YouTube and Pinterest
- Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Sponsorship Sales/Relationship Building experience a plus
- Live event or sports industry experience a plus
