Overview:
Are you ready to drive our marketing efforts and elevate our Industrial Platform? Join us as the Director of Marketing for our U.S. Industrial Business and become a vital partner to the Director of Client Operations. You'll be a key player on the U.S. Industrial Leadership team and collaborate daily with our U.S. Industrial Market Intelligence team that drives business development and market research.

As our Industrial Director of Marketing, you'll channel your creativity and motivation into leading marketing strategies designed to hit our ambitious growth targets. You'll craft engaging content, develop tools, and orchestrate comprehensive campaigns that consistently drive demand. Your mission is to elevate Avison Young’s Industrial profile, positioning us as thought leaders and premier experts across various industry sectors.

In this role, you’ll do more than just devise strategies—you’ll work hands-on with our digital, communications, public relations, sales enablement, and market intelligence teams every day. We’re on the hunt for a proactive marketer who is as adept at crafting strategies as they are eager to roll up their sleeves and implement them, equipped with a strong Adobe skill set and a refined eye for design.

Responsibilities:
  • Engage daily with the Director of Client Operations and the Market Intelligence team, playing a crucial role in our dynamic U.S. Industrial Platform team.
  • Team up with Industrial subject matter experts to craft compelling content that resonates with our target audience. This includes everything from white papers and blog posts to webinars, events, infographics, and videos.
  • Redefine the aesthetic of our Industrial Business with fresh presentation decks, capability brochures, and other key business development materials.
  • You will oversee the marketing aspects of our events, including the annual 2-day Industrial Summit, handling everything from crafting invitations and coordinating sponsorship materials to developing presentation decks.
  • Leverage your digital expertise to upgrade our website and social media platforms in partnership with the digital team, focusing on creating engaging landing pages, increasing web traffic and SEO, boosting user interaction, and evaluating the results.
  • Work closely with the sales enablement team to develop innovative sales tools and content that set us apart, including captivating client stories and testimonials.
  • Seek out and oversee industry sponsorships, securing thought leadership and speaking opportunities, and coordinating Avison Young’s presence at industry events and trade shows.
  • Lead the charge in crafting internal communications for the Industrial Business, utilizing the Orion internal communications platform.
  • Collaborate with Avison Young’s media communications team to elevate the brand’s profile, enhancing our media presence through strategic engagements, press releases, and social media.
  • Own the execution of marketing strategies for the Industrial Business, collaborating with teams across digital, communications, design, and sales enablement to bring our vision to life.
The base salary is aligned with market data and is estimated between $130,000 to $170,000 with the ability to achieve additional compensation through bonus. This salary range reflects base compensation for the position across all US locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and other factors including relevant education/training, experience, and internal equity.
Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • B2B marketing experience in commercial real estate (industrial a plus)
  • Ability to think strategically while executing marketing deliverables
  • Proven content marketing and social media experience
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Knowledge and experience in CRM (HubSpot/Salesforce a plus)
  • Demonstrated ability to drive and measure results
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, initiative, and creativity
  • Comfortable presenting in front of leadership
  • Politically savvy, emotionally intelligent, self-aware
  • Comfortable with change and ambiguity
  • Experienced, minimum of 8+ years of integrated marketing experience


Other Qualifications/skills:

  • Excellent writing, editing, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong creative “big picture” thinker
  • Understanding of and commitment to client service
  • Ability to work effectively in teams and be committed to the idea of do whatever it takes
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects
  • Advance-level knowledge of Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Adobe Creative Suite skills (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) a must
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
