This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences’ RESPECT Service System.
About the Opportunity:
Based out of Hornblower’s corporate office in Orlando, Florida and reporting to the Vice President of Integrated Media, this role will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive public relations strategies Hornblower and our family of brands. This position will play a pivotal role in driving media coverage, managing influencer relationships, and enhancing the company’s’ brand reputation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic media relations to secure positive media coverage across various outlets, including print, broadcast, and digital platforms.
- Craft compelling press release campaigns, media kits and other promotional materials that highlight our brand features, events, and initiatives. Ensure all content aligns with our brand voice and messaging.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media contacts at local, regional and national levels.
- Monitor media coverage and analyze its impact on the resorts’ brand.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging PR opportunities to keep our strategies innovative and effective.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and align marketing initiatives with business goals.
- Oversee the development of engaging content for various channels, including press releases and industry communications.
- Develop integrated plans with social media and marketing partners as well as handle multiple, diverse projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong media relations skills, including experience pitching to journalists and securing media placements.
- Proven track record in developing and executing successful influencer marketing campaigns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in public relations, with a focus on travel, tourism, recreation or hospitality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred; MBA preferred
