The Director of Sales and Marketing at ACTIA US will oversee business development, manage marketing strategies, and cultivate relationships to enhance company growth and achieve sales targets.

We are currently looking for a Director of Sales and Marketing to join our team in Romulus, MI. The Director of Sales and Marketing manages and oversees the sales and marketing operations for ACTIA. Main duties include development of new business, designing plans to meet sales targets, developing and cultivating relationships with customers and evaluating costs to determine products? pricing.

- Sales and Marketing Management
- Manages and supervises business development managers
- Facilitates development of supervised personnel
- Oversees development and production of promotional and collateral materials
- Develops and recommends product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy
- Ensures effective control of marketing results
- Takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets
- Resolves conflicts and facilitates changes in structure of marketing group
- Provides swift response to marketing problems and opportunities
- Guides preparation of marketing activity reports and presents to executive management
- Collaboration
- Serves as liaison with outside agencies and headquarters ongoing promotional campaigns
- Collaborates with all internal departments
- Legal Compliance
- Ensure legal compliance with state, federal and OSHA requirements
- Ensure ISO procedures are followed
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Minimum Qualifications and Education
- Bachelor?s degree in Engineering; a business degree would be a plus
- Five years of marketing/sales experience
- Automotive knowledge is preferred
- A second European language a plus
- Strong analytical skills
- Logical reasoning ability is essential
- Ability to travel extensively both domestic and internationally
Working Conditions
Movement
- This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office and on the production floor. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Operate/Use
- Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery (i.e. copier, printer, calculator)
Ascend/Descend
- Rarely ascends/descends stairs to reach archived files
Communicate
- This position frequently communicates with co-workers, managers and supervisors. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
Transport
- This position frequently lifts or moves 25 pounds, occasionally moves up to 50 pounds for various needs.
Work Environment
- Relatively quiet but fast paced.
Travel
- Occasional travel to customers and vendors, with overnight stays, may be required.
