Position Overview:
The Sales Director plays a pivotal role in driving sales revenue, maximizing occupancy, and promoting the hotels hospitality services. Their strategic leadership, sales expertise, and customer-focused approach are essential for achieving business objectives and ensuring the success of the hotels sales
efforts across all areas of operation.
Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development:
Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to boost hotel rooms, catering services,
and food and beverage outlets.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify
opportunities for growth and innovation.
Client Relationship Management:
Cultivate and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, travel agents, and
other potential customers.
Conduct sales meetings, presentations, and site tours to showcase hotel facilities, catering
services, and food and beverage offerings.
Revenue Generation:
Maximize occupancy rates and average daily rates (ADR) through effective pricing strategies and
revenue management techniques.
Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling of hotel amenities, catering packages, and
dining experiences to enhance guest satisfaction and increase revenue.
Team Leadership and Training:
Recruit, train, and supervise the sales team, including sales managers, coordinators, and support
staff.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and
professional growth.
Marketing and Promotion:
Work with corporate marketing partners to develop and execute marketing campaigns and
promotional activities to drive awareness and demand for hotel accommodations, catering
services, and food and beverage offerings.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create marketing materials, advertisements, and online
content.
Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the hotel
and its hospitality services.
Financial Management:
Manage sales budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure profitability.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field
(preferred).
Proven experience in hotel sales, catering sales, food and beverage sales, or hospitality
management, with a focus on sales and revenue generation.
Strong sales, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
Knowledge of hotel operations, catering services, food and beverage trends, and revenue
management principles.
Proficiency in sales and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
