Converge Marketing, a 20-year-old boutique performance marketing powerhouse, is seeking a Director of Performance Marketing to its growing team. With a client list that includes AAA, ATT, Leaf Home, Erie Home, Converge is on a fast track to growing its impressive client portfolio through performance innovation and is looking for the industry’s most dynamic, performance marketing talent to join our high energy team. The Director of Performance Marketing will be responsible for delivering strategic thought leadership and data-driven insights in support of Converge’s performance marketing initiatives. Drawing on a deep background in affiliate marketing, data analytics, and marketing strategy—along with proven experience in direct-to-consumer (D2C) verticals—this leader will collaborate with Account team leads to develop strategic roadmaps that maximize ROI on performance marketing efforts. In addition, they will provide high-level strategic guidance, partner with creative teams to shape campaign direction, and lend expertise in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. Through these efforts, the Director of Performance Marketing will play a pivotal role in strengthening Converge’s market presence and achieving measurable growth for both the company and its clients.
Responsibilities
- Develop and Lead Performance Marketing Strategies Define and implement comprehensive performance marketing initiatives, ensuring they align with client objectives, industry best practices, and overall agency goals.
- Collaborate with Business Development Partner with the business development team to identify new opportunities, shape innovative payout models, and guide prospecting efforts that expand the agency’s client base and revenue.
- Drive Growth with Account Leads and Clients Work hand-in-hand with Account Leads and clients to understand core business challenges, proactively identify growth opportunities, and recommend data-driven solutions.
- Provide Training and Mentorship Empower agency teams by offering specialized training and development, equipping them with the skills needed to create, interpret, and optimize reports, analyses, and strategic roadmaps.
- Translate Strategies into Actionable Plans Convert high-level performance marketing strategies into concrete programs and tactics that generate tangible results, including revenue increases and market share gains.
- Build and Maintain Strong Client Relationships Serve as a trusted advisor to both day-to-day client contacts and senior decision-makers, ensuring consistent satisfaction, clear communication, and long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams Work closely with creative, technical, and operational teams to establish benchmarks, measure results, and ensure campaign objectives are met or surpassed.
- Understand Industry and Target Audiences Stay informed on clients’ business objectives, market environment, and competitive landscape, providing strategic insights and recommendations tailored to industry-specific needs.
- Lead Brainstorming Sessions Facilitate collaborative ideation with internal teams to develop and refine actionable performance marketing concepts, acting as the go-to subject matter expert in the space.
- Advise on White-Label Lead Generation Guide internal teams in creating white-label lead generation brands for home services and other verticals, leveraging performance marketing best practices to drive scalable growth.
Required Experience
- Extensive Performance Marketing Background At least 7 years of experience in performance marketing, encompassing a broad range of channels (e.g., affiliate, paid social, search, programmatic) with a proven track record of driving measurable results.
- Hands-On Affiliate Marketing Expertise In-depth knowledge of affiliate marketing strategies and creative development, demonstrated through hands-on campaign management and optimization.
