Peacock is hiring a Director, Product Marketing Design to join an innovative and passionate team responsible for crafting value narratives and delivering on them for our customers. Our Product Marketing team is seeking a highly collaborative and solutions-minded leader who is adept at swiftly handling change in a constantly evolving environment. In this position, you’ll get to leverage your encyclopedic cultural knowledge while working with the wider Peacock org to support world-class campaigns spanning entertainment, sports, news and more. Your team’s designs will convey the story of Peacock and drive newcomers, TV nerds, and film buffs alike, to engage with all the amazing content the platform has to offer.

This position requires seasoned expertise in digital design, as well as confidence negotiating creative solutions for both internal and external partners. Data and the customer experience will be your driving forces as you collaborate with studios, marketers, product developers, operations specialists, and showrunners to support marketing and platform image requirements for Peacock. You will oversee design strategy for both acquisition and engagement touchpoints, on and off platform, defining the end-to-end workflows and best practices which govern the creation, sourcing, and optimization of artwork. Your refined eye, process-oriented mindset, and seasoned people management skills will ensure the consistency, accuracy, and efficacy of high-quality imagery promoting Peacock’s offering from VOD to live events and more.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design team tasked with creating and managing deliverables for all content on Peacock, including support for Original title launches, Pay 1 and same-day theatrical releases, WWE premium live events, and a wide-ranging spectrum of live sports including the NFL and NBA.
  • Lead design strategy for acquisition efforts through Peacock’s flagship website Peacocktv.com, coordinating with site owners to blend brand and product marketing benefits with conversion best practices, driving awareness, perception and conversion benchmarks
  • Develop and execute on an experimentation roadmap for image optimization, on the website and on platform, in partnership with colleagues spanning Marketing and Product organizations
  • Oversee and mentor a growing and diverse design team, supporting new and established roles in their onboarding, development and day-to-day workflows
  • Guide the design team in their end-to-end workflows for high-volume image asset production in preparation for new UI releases as well as new territory and external partner rollouts
  • Establish relationships, SLAs, timelines, and expectations with external contractors and vendors, shepherding projected cost estimates and invoices through layers of financial approvals as needed
  • Liaise with cross-functional partners at multiple levels across Creative Marketing, Product and Tech teams to prioritize needs, provide direction, requirements and advise on best practices related to shared systems and processes, including imagery-related automation/tooling developments, recommendations for enhancements and oversight of related workflow optimization affecting domestic and international platforms
  • Confidently guide collaborative projects or feature enhancement kickoffs, including development of ongoing touch points with internal stakeholders to support identification of pain points, requirements-gathering, evaluating LOE for spec/workflow adjustments and executing process changes
  • Oversee a growing library of artwork specifications and best practice documentation, coaching the design team in confidently presenting documentation and providing related editorial imagery guidance to external and internal partners
  • Pitch, encourage, and develop individual contributor ideas for custom creative, acting as a sounding board with the greater Merchandising team when brainstorming for topical stunts, hubs, collections and priority title support

Qualifications


Requirements/Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years design experience, including at least 4 years in the entertainment industry, at least 2 years of formal supervisory experience
  • An online portfolio reflecting that experience, including shipped/in-market campaigns and a demonstrated expertise in end-to-end design systems and methodology
  • Experience supporting imagery pipeline tooling and workflows
  • Ability to oversee multiple personnel and project timelines, pivoting and adjusting as needed, while visually directing an ever-changing content pipeline 7 days a week; must be willing to work evenings, weekends, extended hours or holidays as needed
  • Strong familiarity with MVPD, OTT and SVOD imagery ops publishing procedures
  • Advanced expertise with leading design software required, including Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma; must be willing to complete a design exercise upon request
  • Minimum 3 years working with design-related project management and virtual communication tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Airtable, OneDrive and Slack
  • Deep understanding of image asset management and related image metadata, including experience working within various CMS, automation and content ingest systems, as well as experience within live and VOD news and sports content
  • Fluency with Gracenote’s content aggregation service and its design specifications; existing relationships with Gracenote personnel a plus
  • Authentic interest in staying current on industry trends and best practices, including diversity, equity and inclusion within the DTC entertainment space

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000 (Bonus & LTI eligible)
