Position Summary: The Director, SBDC is a leadership position that is responsible for managing the development and sales of corporate training programs in response to client needs. This position leads the Business Solutions team in achieving LERN benchmarks including gross revenue and net profit targets set by the WDCE branch. This position has ultimate responsibility for proactively generating demand for corporate training, coordination of sales efforts, curriculum and program development, and administration and delivery of custom training programs to a wide variety of organization.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree; 5 years of experience managing business development projects/programs with a proven record of establishing and achieving financial targets.

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Lead the Business Solutions team in achieving LERN benchmarks, including gross revenue and net profit targets set by the Continuing Education (CE) branch. Direct staff in proactively generating demand for corporate training
- Develop and implement a comprehensive lead generation strategy aligned with the CE’s goals and JCCC objectives. Manage sales processes, curriculum and program development, and administration and delivery of custom training programs to a wide variety of organizations.
- Oversee the identification of partnerships with external stakeholders in a manner that brings mutual benefit to all parties.
- Provide leadership, direction, and training to Program Directors in day-to-day operations. Implement disciplinary actions as needed. Coach team members through issues or escalations. Develop training and provide advisement regarding training-related matters. Provide guidance and interpretation regarding internal policies and processes.
- Measure and evaluate the performance of team members across the department, holding each Program Director to an individualized sales target. Establish clearly defined sales targets, goals, objectives, responsibilities, competencies, and development plans for each employee. Lead in a way that continuously promotes collaboration, efficiency, and teamwork.
- Monitor quality and quantity of employee productivity and service. Accountable for planning, delegation, and coordination of work to direct reports to ensure functions are performed in an accurate, timely, and efficient manner and provide high-quality client service. Conduct and manage sales meetings to coach, evaluate sales goals and progress, and target new and existing sales opportunities.
- Identify new strategic markets and innovative product opportunities to grow revenue and enrollments. Lead the Business Solutions sales team in developing business relationships with targeted existing and new key business customers to increase JCCC's visibility as a valued partner.
- Develop divisional reports related to Business Solutions activities. Evaluate and analyze data to accurately determine the attainment of goals, adjusting sales activities based on the findings.
- Maintain knowledge of legislative, industry, and marketplace issues and trends affecting customers in order to support their business, communicating relevant information to the sales team.
- Develop, manage, and monitor the annual budget for the Continuing Education and Business Solutions departments. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize operational expenses. Ensure and optimize the cost-effective use of departmental resources. Minimize costs by eliminating redundancies, optimizing the utilization of resources, and maintaining high productivity levels. Play a pivotal role in overall financial stability by meeting or exceeding the annual sales goal.
- Ensure JCCC maintains an image for quality training and services through professional, ethical conduct and consistently high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Monitor sales opportunities and activities in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool and through meetings with staff to ensure customers’ needs are met and/or exceeded. Implement strategies to grow sales prospecting activities for the Program Director team.
