The Director, Smart Home Product and Partnerships at AAA is responsible for maximizing income through product optimization, partnership management, and strategic marketing initiatives in the Smart Home sector.

Job Summary

Our Director, Smart Home Product and Partnerships, is accountable for optimizing Smart Home Product mix to drive income through sales, service, and add on opportunities. Leverages relationships to build value added member benefits, member engagement and revenue growth.

This role influences strategic direction and leads the execution of Smart Home partnerships and product marketing at AAA MWG. This leader partners with Smart Home Marketing to develop fully integrated product marketing plans in order to drive profitable growth.

In addition, this leader partners with Smart Home product manufacturers and platform providers to ensure competitive market position and strengthen on-going relationships with partners in order to substantially grow AAA market share and revenues and identify new product opportunities that increase overall Member value and engagement.

Essential Duties:

Partnership Management

  • Manufacturing and platform contracting to negotiate pricing, volume requirements, feature sets, etc.

  • Identify, develop and manage new partnership opportunities

  • Liaises between sales, business operations and partners to resolve member experience issues

Compliance/New Product Development

  • Understand compliance requirements and any new products/costs needed to maintain monitoring compliance

  • Creation of new recurring revenue streams associated with ongoing monitoring or account features as source of Member value

  • Launching new hardware products in conjunction with IT, sales, and marketing teams

Competitive/Pricing Positioning

  • Crafting product and marketing strategy to maximize Smart Home growth and achieve revenue goals

  • Developing competitive market positioning strategies

  • Ongoing pricing evaluation and recommendations based on company positioning document

  • Collaborates with Insurance, Membership and Brand marketing leaders to align marketing efforts, build integrated plans, develop new bundles, and deliver strong results.

Lifecycle Management

  • Responsible for maintaining burndown of inventory ahead of product launches in conjunction with warehouse and purchasing teams

  • Provide guidance to both vendors and internal teams on product usage rates for purposes of ordering and stocking

  • Develop and maintain training materials in coordination with L&D teams to ensure internal sales, MX, Tech Support teams have up to date knowledge of entire product set

  • Updating systems as required for changes to products, new product launches, etc.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong marketing knowledge of segmentation, targeting, modeling, controlled testing and ROI analysis

  • Skilled in relationship management including ability to build trust and strong partnerships inside and outside of the organization

  • Strong financial and business skills. Effective at identifying and driving product and experience improvements to maximize value and achieve results

  • Strategic mindset. Can readily translate general business strategy into effective product and marketing strategies and define direction for large teams that deliver growth

  • Proven track record of leading and developing effective, high performing and collaborative teams

  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with the Google Apps Suite (Sheets, Docs, Drive, Slides)

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or other related fields (required); Master of Business Administration (preferred).

  • 6+ years of industry experience, with an extensive knowledge of current trends in the residential and commercial security industry.

  • 2+ years of management experience

  • Valid Driver's License

We target between minimum and midpoint of the range, and all offers are subject to a fair pay analysis - Compensation Range: Min: $144,067.00 - Mid: $160,690.00- Max: $177,312.00
