Job Description

The Director of Technology Product Marketing will play a pivotal role in defining and executing go-to-market strategies for our payments gateway and payment platform solutions. This person will work with Product, Channel Marketing and Sales to drive awareness, demand generation and customer engagement across our direct and partner distribution channels and will collaborate with product management to provide meaningful insights to inform product roadmaps and future product strategy.

Key areas of responsibility:

Product Positioning and Messaging: Develop and refine product positioning that uniquely differentiates the Elavon Payment Gateway and the value-added solutions delivered via the platform to key customer segments: SMB, Enterprise, Developers across distribution channels.

Go to Market Strategy: Design and activate go-to-market strategies for the Elavon Payment Gateway and new products and services delivered via the platform, ensuring cross-functional alignment and successful market adoption, activation and usage. Clearly define routes to market strategy across direct and indirect sales channels. Support new product launches, coordinating internal and external communications, sales enablement and channel marketing.

Customer and Market Insights: Conduct voice of customer, voice of sales research as well as other market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer needs, point points and jobs to be done as well as opportunities for differentiation in the payments industry. Use these insights to inform product development and go-to-market strategies.

Sales Enablement and Support: Build out and maintain a sales playbook, client presentations, collateral, case studies and technical collateral requests to support efforts to engage customers and close deals. Coordinate with internal training.

Content Development: Lead the creation of product related thought leadership, white papers, and other content to demonstrate Elavon’s expertise in the payments market as well as the financial and business impact of using Elavon’s solutions.

Adoption, Engagement and Usage: Partner with Channel Marketing, Digital, and Corporate Marketing to develop and implement integrated campaigns that drive adoption, engagement and usage of Elavon’s products and services. Tracking and reporting of marketing activities.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Eight or more years of related experience in marketing and marketing strategy with proven ability to deliver results

Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Advanced knowledge of assigned geographical area, competitive market, banking operations, and U.S. Bancorp's products and services
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and team building skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Agility in thinking and delivery, along with proven ability to take direction in support of company goals
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to delegate and successfully manage multiple projects and assignments that are completed on time and on budget
  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages
  • MBA or equivalent markers of high achievement are a plus

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $111,605.00 - $131,300.00 - $144,430.00
