SHORT DESCRIPTION

The Director, Web Experience and Content Strategy is responsible for optimizing Truliant’s corporate website to enhance user experience and member engagement through effective content management and SEO strategies.

Purpose of the Job
The Director, Web Experience and Content Strategy is responsible for website management, including planning, creating, editing and managing business and development of content and operational strategies to optimize the member experience for Truliant’s corporate website. This position will have oversight related to the site’s overall performance, user experience, analytics, and Search Engine Optimization.
The position oversees content contributors, providing leadership and direction to groups surrounding writing, proofing and use of web-based content management system to publish relevant web content.
The Director will be responsible for coordinating efforts among creative, technical, functional and other resources to ensure the highest quality output is achieved; including managing primary external website vendor relationship.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Directs overall strategies related to content flow, user experience and technical optimization for Truliant’s corporate website; one its most vital channels.
  • Identifies content needs based on competitive site analysis and gap analysis, participate in workflow and process management and collaborate with outside vendor partners to
  • Manages, implements and monitors web-specific data to develop content for personalization and needs-based presentment.
  • Builds internal and external relationships to accomplish the objectives and perform the duties of this position.
  • Maintains a current knowledge of digital marketing best practices, tools and trends. Guides the sites navigation strategy so that members and visitors can quickly and easily find what they are looking for on the corporate site.
  • Uses proven best practices to develop an intuitive site architecture to allow for optimization of priority products, themes and related search terms.
  • Oversees efforts focused on building brand and product awareness through Search Engine Optimization of the website to increase web search results and attracting new members.
  • Works with Marketing team to coordinate multimedia necessary for efforts to build robust web content.
  • Managers the writing and editing content as well as reviewing for accuracy, style, readability, and optimizing for user experience (UX) for target audiences; ensures timely production and distribution.
  • Oversees content contributors throughout the organization providing leadership and direction to groups surrounding writing, proofing and use of a web-based content management system to publish content.
  • Identifies needs based on competitive site analysis and gap analysis, participate in workflow and process management and collaborates with multiple levels of support teams internally throughout the organization.
  • Collaborates with Marketing and Senior Management stakeholders to establish effective strategies to drive growth in eCommerce activity, such as increased deposit and loan applications via the digital channel.
  • Manages changes to the website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve organic rankings and optimization for target keywords.
  • Researches content recommendations for success and implements the content strategy on the corporate website.
  • Manages various vendor relationships for agencies and software providers who support Truliant’s website strategy and execution.
  • Manages the Learning Center on the corporate website, which educates, informs, and guides members & prospective members in their buying journeys.
  • Maintains a high-level of understanding of market trends, personas, and competitive product benefits to craft messaging that is targeted and compelling.
  • Owns all KPIs and reporting related to Truliant’s Corporate website.
  • Manages marketing team members to establish workflows and to optimize conversion funnels that supports our website’s content strategy.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must be proficient in integrating Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices and enhance visitors’ digital experience and increase conversions, online account opening and loan applications
  • Must be proficient in working with CMS systems, preferably Kentico, in a PC environment; along with other digital software tools
  • Must have the ability to develop and manage strategies and marketing plans in support of business objectives related to the corporate website
  • Must have strong technical knowledge of SEO ranking factors and search engine algorithms
  • Must be a team-oriented individual with strong collaborative skills who is detail oriented and well organized, with the ability to effectively multi-task multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must have strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities from inception to completion with minimal supervision in a fast pace environment
  • Must have a working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Must have intermediate skills in MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Must be able to complete all assignments with minimal supervision
  • Must have the ability to communicate clearly and have excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Must have superior interpersonal skills and comfortably work/communicate with people at all levels within the organization; ability to get along with diverse personalities; tactful, mature, flexible, compassionate
  • Must understand all federal and state compliance requirements in relation to published marketing materials
Physical Requirements
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, and stooping required.
  • Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time and use a computer.
  • Must be able to moderately lift or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds.
Education and Background
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field and 5+ years related experience in website development, SEO, digital marketing or related field required
  • Minimum of 7 years previous marketing management experience required.
  • Experience with managing site redesign and determining key self-service priorities and how to incorporate and provide for most valuable member experience is required.
  • Must have in-depth experience with SEO tools, such as Google Search Console, Moz and other similar tools
  • Must have in-depth experience with website analytics tools, such as Google Analytics
  • Must be able to provide examples of successful SEO work from previous roles
  • Agency experience is a plus
  • Financial industry experience is a plus, but not required
  • Literacy in Spanish is a plus, but not required
