Director of Sales and Marketing
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Director of Sales and Marketing to lead our sales and marketing initiatives. Comprehensive experience in driving revenue growth, profit margins, client acquisition and customer satisfaction to new heights. Strategic planner in boosting revenue and launching innovative sales and marketing strategies in complex, dynamic environments to increase revenue, profit margins and market share. A Collaborative leader skilled in motivating sales staff to achieve aggressive goals and objectives. Recognized as significant revenue contributor; excel in identifying and optimizing new business opportunities while expanding revenue from existing accounts. Proven ability to gain trusted advisor status with client executives and other decision makers. Strong presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets, ensuring alignment with the overall business goals of the venue.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with high-end clientele, event planners, corporations, and other key partners to drive repeat and referral business.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire the sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets while fostering a positive and high-performance culture.
- Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in untapped markets, including corporate, social, and destination event sectors.
- Contract Negotiations: Oversee the negotiation of contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that align with the luxury positioning of the venue.
- Event Coordination Collaboration: Partner with event planning and operations teams to ensure all client expectations are met and exceeded during the event planning and execution stages.
- Reporting & Analysis: Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, and client feedback to refine sales strategies and maximize profitability.
- Brand Ambassador: Act as the face of the venue at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance the venue’s presence and reputation in the market.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of proven experience in a sales or marketing role, preferably with the Marriott.
- Strong understanding of business development, revenue analysis, yield management and contract negotiations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Exceptional negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals successfully.
- Proficiency in Marriott software is highly desirable.
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.

Pay: $81,456.00 - $84,796.00 per year
