Director/Vice President, Paid Media Marketing

Based in Norman, OK, with hybrid or remote work flexibility; local candidates must be onsite two days a week.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required; 10+ years of experience in higher education digital marketing, specifically in student acquisition and paid media campaigns; experience in leadership roles and budget management (>10M annually); strong proficiency in digital marketing tools, analytics, and leadership skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement comprehensive paid media strategies, manage data analysis to optimize campaigns, oversee budget allocation and ROI assessment, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage agency/vendor relationships.

Job Summary:
This role is for the strategic thinker, the data-driven decision-maker and the innovative marketing leader. You'll be at the helm of our paid media marketing strategy, driving enrollment growth and brand awareness for our partner institutions.
Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio growth strategy
- Builds and executes comprehensive paid media strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Conducts digital product launch planning and new program viability assessments.
Data Analysis and Performance Optimization
- Oversees robust analytics and tracking systems, leveraging tools to measure campaign performance, track KPIs, and inform data-driven decisions.
- Analyzes key performance metrics across digital channels to identify areas for improvement and optimize campaigns for better ROI.
- Uses data insights to make informed decisions, driving continuous improvement in campaign performance.
- Stays up to date with industry trends and consumer behavior to uncover new opportunities and refine marketing strategies.

Investment management and reporting
- Develops and manages annual digital marketing budgets, allocating resources effectively to maximize ROI and achieve business objectives.
- Allocates resources across various digital channels to optimize budget distribution in alignment with business goals and target audience needs.
- Evaluates ROI of marketing initiatives by continuously assessing campaign performance to guide future budget allocations.

Cross-Functional Team Collaboration
- Partners with marketing and recruitment team members to execute and evaluate media strategy
- Partners with Academics, Retention, Analytics teams and others as needed

Agency/Vendor Management
- Negotiates contracts with vendors and agencies to secure beneficial terms and partnerships for digital marketing initiatives.
- Oversees the performance and delivery of contracted efforts from agencies and vendors to ensure alignment with goals.
Qualifications:
Education:
Required: Bachelor's degree
Experience
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in higher education / student acquisition digital marketing, including a proven track record of successful paid media campaigns and strategies driving enrollment growth for higher education institutions.
- Progressive leadership roles in higher education services/company marketing departments, with a focus on digital paid channels.
- Team and Agency/Vendor management experience
- Budget management of >10M in media annually
Skills:
- Proficiency with a range of digital marketing tools and platforms, including:
- Digital marketing tools, such as marketing automation platforms and CRM systems
- Web analytics and data visualization tools, such as Google Analytics and Tableau
- SEO, SEM, and content marketing best practices
- Familiarity with emerging marketing technologies, such as AI and machine learning
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
