As a Dog Trainer at Zoom Room Nashville-East Dog Training, you will have the incredible opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of both dogs and their owners. Your role will involve teaching a variety of group classes and private sessions, using positive reinforcement training methods and our proprietary curriculum. Classes you would teach include: Obedience, Agility, Canine Good Citizen, Therapy Dog, Scent, and many more. You would also oversee social activities and events such as playgroups, meet-ups, dog birthday/adoption day parties, game nights, and events that raise awareness and funds for local rescues and shelters.

Position starts as Front Desk Associate at $15/hour with a required term of at least 3 months in this position. Your performance will be evaluated to determine your readiness to enter an in-house Dog Trainer Certification program to train dogs at Zoom Room, at which time, your hourly pay will increase to $17.

Requirements:

• Prior experience training dogs (your own or others') using positive reinforcement methods is required.
• Experience in retail/sales is required.
• Online and in-person training is required, regardless of prior training experience.
• Must be team oriented with a dedication to customer service and contributing to a positive work environment.
• Organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with people of all ages and backgrounds, individually and in small group settings.
• Ability to adapt to different learning styles and customize training techniques accordingly.
• Flexibility to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must be able to move and adjust heavy agility equipment (up to 50 lbs) and be flexible enough to bend down easily to work with small dogs and puppies.
• Knowledge of online marketing/advertising and social media platforms (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, YouTube) is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
