About The Role
The Donor Impact Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting and executing Harvest Home's fundraising and communications initiatives, working directly with the Director of Donor Impact to build and maintain strong relationships with donors, corporate partners, and the broader community.
Position Overview
The Donor Impact Coordinator (hourly position) provides essential support in executing Harvest Home’s fundraising activities including day-to-day donor relations, communications, stewardship activities, and fundraising events and campaigns. This role is instrumental in cultivating and strengthening donor relationships, coordinating communications across various platforms, and supporting all areas of Harvest Home’s fundraising efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Communications and Marketing
- Collaborate with the Director of Donor Impact to develop and implement comprehensive communications strategies across digital and print platforms
- Manage social media presence and content calendar
- Create engaging content for email newsletters, website updates, and donor communications
- Coordinate with corporate partners on cross-promotional opportunities
- Maintain photo and video assets library
- Support the development of fundraising appeals and campaign materials
Corporate Partnership Support
- Research and cultivate potential new corporate partners
- Assist in managing relationships with corporate partners
- Support corporate giving initiatives and workplace giving campaigns
- Help coordinate corporate volunteer engagement opportunities
- Track and report on corporate partnership activities and impact
Donor Engagement and Stewardship
- Execute donor acknowledgment and recognition programs, including timely thank-you letters, calls, and special recognition initiatives
- Manage and grow the monthly giving program (Team 365) through regular communication and stewardship activities
- Support the cultivation and stewardship of annual fund donors
- Respond to donor inquiries professionally and promptly
- Assist in coordinating donor appreciation events and engagement opportunities
Database Management and Reporting
- Maintain accurate and current donor records in our CRM system
- Process gifts and generate donor acknowledgments
- Produce regular reports on fundraising progress and donor metrics
- Ensure data integrity and consistent record-keeping practices
Event Planning and Support
- Assist with planning and executing fundraising events, including the annual gala
- Coordinate logistics for donor meetings and site visits
- Support volunteer recruitment and management for events
- Help secure in-kind donations and event sponsorships
Qualifications
Required Experience and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in related field (Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, etc.)
- 2-3 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, communications, or related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Experience with social media management and digital communications
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with event planning and execution of strategies and plans
- Knowledge of fundraising best practices and donor relations
- Familiarity with graphic design tools and digital marketing platforms
- Previous experience in maternal health or social services organizations preferred
