E-Commerce Specialist

Summary

As an E-Commerce Specialist, you will create and implement strategies that make online transactions possible. You will organize, develop, and execute website marketing plans specifically focused on Shopify, Shiphero and SalonCentric. You will work closely with our marketing team to expand our company’s sales and profits and our supply chain and sourcing team.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Write and edit product content that will be published on e-Commerce websites/portals.
• Set standards, systems, and best practices for new product listings, content creation, distribution, and maintenance.
• Database maintenance of and inventory management on web-based platforms
• Work closely with different teams (content and web marketing and sourcing) to provide updated content that will be sharedacross e-Commerce platforms.
• Provide support in other areas of Media Marketing, Email Marketing, SEO, Keyword Research, Google Analytics, and Paid Social Media.
• Be a subject matter expert to assigned platforms specifically Shopify, Shiphero, and Amazon.
• Identify SEO best practices regarding inventory, pre-orders, and pricing policies.
• Monitor changes in product sales by using web analytics and Excel spreadsheets (pivot tables, vlookups, etc) to stay organized.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
• Complete any other additional tasks assigned by management.

Education and Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in the e-commerce arena is required.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, team members and leaders.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to move up to 25 pounds at a time.

Skills and Abilities

• Hands-on experience in managing and maintaining e-Commerce websites/portals.
• Familiarity with web design and a keen eye to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational capabilities and adept project management skills.
• Thorough understanding of beauty products to be sold.
• Self-starter with the ability to work successfully with little supervision.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with team members.
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Proficient with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, social media outlets or related software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
