eCommerce Digital Shelf Manager (Perfect Digital Store Manager)

The Perfect Digital Store (PDS) Manager plays a critical role in identifying and deploying priority Digital and eCommerce capability areas to improve our digital presence online & drive accelerated online sales growth at Royal Canin across Business Units. Focused on growing Royal Canin and Eukanuba brand presence online, this role will develop specific strategies to measure and action our Digital Shelf across all customers and share best practices and consultation with sales teams. Specifically, this role will enable Royal Canin to become best-in-class in Perfect Digital Store capabilities by acting as the thought-leader & SME while developing & executing strategies in the following areas: Perfect Digital Store, Titles and Featured Bullets, Digital Content, Ratings & Reviews, Online Taxonomy, and Search Engine Optimization.

What are we looking for?

  • Must be comfortable with providing thought-leadership to customers and senior leadership in fast-paced, ever evolving environment, and be comfortable collaborating across multiple teams and personalities

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Own the Digital Shelf (PDS) Program to drive excellence in execution through PDS improvements across retailers’ capabilities, focused on Core and Advanced MKBs (Merchandising Key Beliefs), like Perfect Product (Assortment), Perfect Path (Navigation), Perfect Position (Search), Perfect Page (Content), and Ratings and Reviews. PDS ownership is inclusive of developing short & long-term strategy, setting annual targets at the retail & segment level, measuring results & identifying actions, and calculating value driven by Digital Shelf improvements.

  • Own ratings and review strategy for Amazon and partner with shopper/brand marketing and digital merchandiser on management, budget, execution, and measurement/tracking with Petco/PetSmart.

  • Manage data vendor relationship which includes tracking budget & contract negotiations, submitting tickets for errors, enhancements, and callouts to the service, and reporting/weighting requirements.

  • Close content gaps online across customers by ensuring appropriate PDP eComm content exists, is created, and is syndicated through Salsify and other platforms.

  • Act as an eCommerce consult/SME to retailers by bringing eCommerce strategies, PDS opportunities, Merchandising Key Belief principles, test & learn opportunities and/or results and best practices.

  • Develop holistic Search strategy across retail customers (in partnership with Shopper Marketing team who owns the paid budget) to ensure Royal Canin is meeting or exceeding its fair share of the digital shelf, inclusive of both organic and paid results.
