Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical eCommerce Merchandiser to join our team. The eCommerce Merchandiser will be responsible for optimizing the online shopping experience by curating product assortments, managing product listings, and implementing merchandising strategies to drive sales and maximize profitability. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of eCommerce principles, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Product Assortment: Curate and manage the online product assortment to ensure alignment with brand strategy, customer preferences, and market trends.
- Product Listing Optimization: Optimize product listings for search visibility, conversion, and user experience, including product titles, descriptions, images, and attributes.
- Merchandising Strategy: Develop and execute merchandising strategies to showcase products effectively, promote cross-selling and upselling opportunities, and drive customer engagement and retention.
- Inventory Management: Monitor product inventory levels, identify slow-moving or obsolete items, and collaborate with stakeholders to implement inventory clearance strategies.
- Promotions and Campaigns: Collaborate with marketing teams to plan and execute promotional campaigns, discounts, and offers to drive traffic and sales.
- Data Analysis: Analyze eCommerce performance metrics, including sales, traffic, conversion rates, and average order value, to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitors' eCommerce activities, pricing strategies, and product assortments to inform decision-making and identify competitive advantages.
- User Experience Optimization: Collaborate with UX/UI designers to optimize the online shopping experience, including navigation, product discovery, and checkout processes.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, operations, and customer service, to ensure alignment and collaboration on eCommerce initiatives.
- Vendor Management: Develop and maintain relationships with online marketplace partners and third-party vendors, serving as the primary point of contact for all vendor-related inquiries and communications.
- Vendor Onboarding: Lead the onboarding process for new vendors, including negotiating terms and agreements, obtaining necessary documentation, and facilitating product integration and listing setup.
- Product Listing Management: Manage the end-to-end process of product listing creation, optimization, and maintenance across multiple eCommerce platforms, ensuring accurate product information, images, and pricing.
- Inventory and Supply Chain Management: Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders, manage inventory levels, and address any supply chain issues or disruptions.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze vendor performance metrics, including sales, inventory turnover, fulfillment rates, and customer feedback, to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate pricing, terms, and promotional opportunities with vendors to maximize profitability and competitive advantage while maintaining positive vendor relationships.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure vendor compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards, conducting periodic audits and assessments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing,Supply Chain Management, eCommerce, or related field.
- Proven experience in eCommerce merchandising, preferably in a retail or eCommerce environment.
- Proven experience in eCommerce vendor management or related roles, preferably in a retail or eCommerce environment.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in eCommerce platforms and tools (e.g., Amazon Seller Central, eBay, Shopify, Magento)
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in eCommerce analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
- Familiarity with eCommerce platforms and tools (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Creative thinker with a customer-centric mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional online shopping experiences.
