Merge Labs, Inc. is seeking an EDU Sales Development Representative to engage with K-12 educators, nurturing leads and setting up sales meetings to facilitate the adoption of their innovative digital learning products.

Compensation: 50,000 base salary plus commissions

Merge is an educational technology company that develops Merge EDU, a hands-on digital learning platform that helps students learn science and STEM effectively using digital teaching aids and simulations they can touch, hold and interact with. Our customers are K-12 educators, administrators, and leaders.

Your Mission:
As EDU Sales Development Representative (SDR), you’ll be the first line of communication with sales prospects in the K-12 educational market. You’ll find and screen potential customers who could benefit from our products and services, to set up our closers for success with decision makers. The SDR should be a quick learner who has strong communication skills and an ability to showcase our offerings in a compelling way. A successful SDR will have the energy to maintain a high volume of outbound calls.


Responsibilities
  • Maintain a high volume of outbound emails and calls to prospective customers, primarily from trial registrations and events
  • Represent the company's products and services, using deep product knowledge, matching that with customer needs, to spark the sales dialog
  • Build relationships by nurturing warm leads, escalating the dialog until a qualified lead schedules a sales meeting with the closing sales rep
  • Perform outbound calls to existing customers, as needed, to help drive renewals on subscriptions
  • Work with sales management and other reps to develop game plans to pursue specific accounts, based on the quantity or seniority of leads from those accounts
  • Maintain accurate data and tracking for activity, notes, tasks, etc. for leads and customers in CRM
  • Perform regular reporting to sales management
  • Identify best practices for refining the company’s lead-generation playbook


Qualifications
  • 1+ years of proven successful experience in a SDR position
  • Experience selling educational technology products is a major plus, particularly for solutions used in classroom teaching
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
  • Energetic and professional personality
  • Extremely self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Willingness and ability to produce a high volume of outbound sales calls
  • Experience with CRM software
  • Proven ability to learn new technologies, including our products as well as internal tools
  • Experience with MS Office / Google Workspace
  • Bachelor’s degree (or experience equivalent) in business, marketing, or education
