Job Summary: Seeking a highly motivated and outgoing Educational Outreach Specialist to join the BBI team and play a key role in our educational seminars. The primary goal of these programs is to raise awareness about bladder and bowel control problems and the services we offer at our ambulatory surgery center. We sponsor over 300 educational seminars per year in communities across Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Memphis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to and represent BBI at 3-4 educational seminars per week.
- Seminars are usually held in restaurant private rooms or other similar venues.
- Attendees at these events can range from less than 10 to over 100, but typically will be around 25 – 30.
- You will be responsible for checking in attendees, delivering an engaging presentation, and interacting with each attendee individually after the presentation.
- You will assist potential patients in scheduling appointments and completing necessary paperwork to become a patient of BBI.
- Expected to continuously strive to improve the processes and procedures of the seminar program.
- Provide an excellent first impression of BBI to potential patients through friendly, professional interactions.
- Answer basic questions about our services and connect potential patients with additional resources.
- Utilize computer skills and software, including PowerPoint, Zoom, Outlook, and other relevant tools, to deliver presentations, manage seminar logistics, and facilitate the patient scheduling process.
- Complete other seminar-related tasks as directed by management. Examples include but are not limited to preparation and transportation of seminar equipment, preparation and transportation of seminar supplies, and inventory tracking/management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Associate's Degree, preferably in related field (healthcare, marketing, or communications).
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with ability to connect with diverse audiences.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Zoom, Outlook, and other relevant software tools.
- Willingness to travel extensively (60%, approximately 3 days per week) to communities across Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Memphis, TN. You will be able to drive to and from many of the seminar locations on the same day. However, there will be some overnight stays as well. When not traveling to seminars 3 days per week, you can work remotely from home.
