What you'll do
Are you a masterful storyteller interested in building a career in employer brand marketing and communications?
In this exciting role in consulting firm AlixPartners' marketing team, you will support a diverse communications program to promote our firm's culture to our colleagues, recruits, and clients, with a focus on marketing our diversity & inclusion and responsible business programs. Working closely with our D&I and Responsible Business team, you will do the essential storytelling that shares our journey and progress in these areas and how they contribute to the firm's culture and growth strategy.
The Employer Brand Marketing and Communications Senior Specialist is a full-time role based in New York or London, UK, reporting to the Employer Brand Marketing and Communications Director.
About the Employer Brand Marketing and Communications team
We look for opportunities to celebrate and promote our firm's unique culture across the employee lifecycle. We are storytellers interested in how our people's experiences and interests embody our culture and in turn how our culture helps us achieve amazing results for our clients. Recent projects our team has led include designing our new careers site, reporting on the progress we've made toward our D&I and sustainability goals, profiling dozens of our employees on how their backgrounds make them great at what they do, including a former Ninja Turtle and musical theater star, and launching a digital platform to help engage our AlixAlumni.
- Partner with our D&I and Responsible Business leaders to develop communications strategies designed to keep our key audiences informed and invested in our inclusion and social responsibility journeys.
- Build strong relationships across the firm and collaborate on D&I and Responsible Business initiatives
- Create, edit, and publish a variety of content to share our journey both internally and externally, including annual reports, thought-leadership articles, social media posts, announcements, and videos.
- Serve as day-to-day point of contact for communications needs related to D&I and Responsible Business, including supporting the firm's crisis communications committee on responding to global news and events
- Inspire employees across the firm's global network to promote inclusivity, understanding, and a sense of belonging.
- Serve as a proactive liaison between the D&I, Responsible Business, and Marketing teams to ensure alignment.

What you'll need
- Undergraduate degree required, preferably in an applicable field of study including but not limited to English, journalism, creative writing, communications, and/or public relations.
- Minimum four (4) years of experience in marketing, business writing, communications, journalism, or a related field. D&I, Sustainability, Social Impact communications experience a plus.
- Storytelling skills: ability to identify and weave together captivating stories for different audiences.
- Experience working and managing multiple stakeholders
- Experience with graphic design and visual storytelling as plus
- Excellent initiative-taking, organizational, and project management skills
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment under pressure with tight deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel applications. Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Core working hours are generally 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday; willingness to work outside of normal U.S. business hours, and as unique projects/needs arise.
- Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.

The firm offers a comprehensive benefits program including health, vision, dental, disability, 401K, tuition reimbursement, identity theft protection, and mental wellness support. Employees will also receive a generous paid leave policy including vacation/personal time starting at 5.67 hours per pay period, sick time up to 80 hours annually, parental leave, and twelve holidays.
The hourly range for this role takes into account a number of factors and is between $45/hr. - $58/hr. with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
