What you'll do

Are you a masterful storyteller interested in building a career in corporate communications?

In this exciting role on global consulting firm AlixPartners' marketing team, you will develop and write a wide range of stories, articles, and announcements to engage with our diverse internal audience as well as promote our brand with recruits and clients.

We will coach and mentor you for a career in professional services marketing, and you will gain valuable experience in internal communications, employer brand marketing, business writing, project management, senior stakeholder management, and more.

The Employer Brand Marketing and Communications Specialist is a full-time role located in New York City or London, reporting to the Employer Brand Marketing and Communications Director. Paid relocation is not available for this position.

About the Employer Brand Marketing and Communications team

We look for opportunities to celebrate and promote our firm's unique culture across the employee lifecycle. We are storytellers interested in how our people's experiences and interests embody our culture and in turn how our culture helps us achieve amazing results for our clients. Recent projects our team has led include designing our new careers site, reporting on the progress we've made toward our D&I and sustainability goals, profiling dozens of our employees on how their backgrounds make them great at what they do, including a former Ninja Turtle and musical theater star, and launching a digital platform to help engage our AlixAlumni.

  • Create, edit, and publish stories, announcements, newsletters, and articles, primarily for our internal audience.
  • Help manage our global internal communications site and app.
  • Build reports and track readership analytics to help drive the firm's strategic goals.
  • Help organize and manage internal events, including townhalls.
  • Support internal marketing and communications and firmwide culture campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Contribute to external marketing projects as needed.

What you'll need

  • Undergraduate degree required, preferably in an applicable field of study including but not limited to English, journalism, creative writing, communications, marketing, and/or public relations.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in marketing, communications, journalism, business writing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Storytelling skills, i.e., an ability to identify and weave together captivating stories for different audiences.
  • A passion for technology and media, as well as the art of communication.
  • Experience in digital marketing, social media, or other web-based publishing platforms
  • Experience in graphic design and other forms of visual storytelling a plus
  • Demonstrated interest in a variety of business topics
  • Excellent initiative-taking, organizational, and project management skills
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Core working hours are generally 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday; willingness to work outside of normal U.S. business hours, and as unique projects/needs arise.
  • Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.

The firm offers a comprehensive benefits program including health, vision, dental, disability, 401K, tuition reimbursement, identity theft protection, and mental wellness support. Employees will also receive a generous paid leave policy including vacation/personal time starting at 5.67 hours per pay period, sick time up to 80 hours annually, parental leave, and twelve holidays.

The hourly range for this role takes into account a number of factors and is between $36/hr. - $42/hr. with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
