QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Finance, or similar field or 4 years equivalent work experience; bilingual in Spanish; experience in non-profit or community-based development preferred; excellent writing and computer skills required.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Engagement Coordinator will develop and implement engagement strategies to support minority and women-owned small businesses, ensuring their needs are met through effective outreach and program coordination.
This position will be a hybrid position - a combination of office and remote work.
OBJECTIVE AND POSITION SUMMARY
The Engagement Coordinator is responsible for facilitating and coordinating a robust community and social media engagement strategy for Prestamos CDFI & Prestamos Women’s Business Center (WBC), with a particular focus on expanding the reach of our services and new programming to minority owned, women owned, and socially/economically disadvantaged small businesses of our community. The Engagement Coordinator will work closely with Prestamos CDFI & Prestamos WBC staff to assist in the overall coordination of services and opportunities to ensure adherence to the organization’s mission and values of authentic small business engagement, building community, equitable practices that promote race equity, diversity and inclusion, and strengths-based practice.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Education /Background:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Finance, or similar field or 4 years equivalent work experience
- Bilingual in Spanish required
- Experience working in a non-profit or government agency preferred
- Experience working in microenterprise or small business development and/or nonprofit organization community-based development required
- Computer proficiency and excellent writing skills a must

- Must be adaptable and able to respond to changes in the working environment
- Must be willing to have a flexible schedule
- Must have a high level of computer and social media skills

- Experience using online tools for social media outreach

Location: Chicanos Por La Causa · LNY - PRSTMO
Schedule: Regular - Part Time (PT), Rotating, 9:00am-8:00pm
