The Enrollment Marketing Specialist drives enrollment growth for Gardner-Webb University through innovative marketing strategies, collaboration with admissions teams, and effective communication processes.
General Description:
The Enrollment Marketing Specialist plays a critical role in the development, execution, and assessment of strategic communication and engagement processes for all Gardner-Webb University programs serving students regionally, nationally, and globally. This individual collaborates closely with admissions teams (traditional, online, and graduate), staff, faculty, and students to drive enrollment growth through innovative and effective marketing strategies.
Responsibilities:

Content Development and Oversight:
- Provide project guidance for Student Recruitment Ambassador(s) tasked with creating content such as blogs, photos, and videos.

Social Media Management:
- Manage portal-specific social media accounts, ensuring alignment with overarching strategies to enhance student engagement.

Campaign Analytics and Reporting:
- Compile, analyze, and report on email, landing page, form, and social media engagement.
- Provide regular project updates and data reports to the relevant enrollment area Director/AVP.

Trend Awareness and Strategy Development:
- Stay informed on current trends in student recruitment, enrollment processes, and digital engagement strategies to optimize campaigns and workflows.

Communication Calendar and Workflow Management:
- Assist in developing integrated communication calendars and workflows for traditional, online, and graduate programs across multiple platforms (call, text, email, digital, video, and print).

Email Marketing Implementation:
- Manage and execute mass email communications, leveraging expertise in functionality, workflow management, batch management, and content updates within the email platform.

Design and Content Creation:
- Utilize Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or other graphic design tools to create visually appealing marketing materials.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency across all marketing collateral.

Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Analyze campaign performance metrics and provide actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.

Administrative and Operational Duties:
- Proficiently use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, CRM systems, and social media platforms.
- Travel to and work in off-campus settings as needed.
- Transport and lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
Qualifications:

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field required.

Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in enrollment or digital marketing in higher education preferred.
- Familiarity with Slate or similar CRM systems is a plus.

Skills and Attributes:
- Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and meet multiple deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), Canva, and other graphic design tools.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and optimize strategies accordingly.
- High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accuracy across all marketing materials.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders, demonstrating professionalism, adaptability, and self-direction.

- Licensed to operate a motor vehicle.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
