Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and proactive Event Firm Assistant Intern to support our team in delivering seamless events. This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in event planning or hospitality management. As an intern, you will be involved in various aspects of event coordination and have the chance to learn from experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with event logistics, coordination, and set-up on event days.
- Support event planners in preparing and executing client proposals, contracts, and schedules.
- Communicate with vendors, venues, and clients to ensure all event details are finalized and executed.
- Help maintain event materials, including checklists, timelines, and inventory management.
- Provide administrative support such as filing, research, and data entry.
- Attend and assist with onsite event execution, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Assist with post-event evaluations and client follow-ups.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications) or equivalent experience.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- A passion for events and delivering excellent service.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on event schedules.
- Previous event or administrative experience is a plus, but not required.
Job Type: Internship
Pay: $1.00 per year
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
