SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Event Planner will manage and execute events from concept to completion, ensuring memorable experiences while collaborating with clients and managing all logistics.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, or internal teams to understand event goals, objectives, and budgets.
- Design and plan events, including timelines, themes, and layouts.
- Research, select, and negotiate with vendors for venues, catering, dcor, entertainment, and other services.
- Prepare and maintain event budgets, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising quality.
- Track expenses and generate reports post-event.
- Oversee all event logistics, including transportation, equipment setup, and staffing.
- Ensure compliance with safety and legal regulations.
- Coordinate event schedules and troubleshoot issues as they arise during the event.
- Marketing and Promotion:
- Develop promotional strategies to maximize event attendance and engagement.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create promotional materials, social media content, and event invitations.
- Serve as the main point of contact on the event day, ensuring smooth execution.
- Supervise event staff, volunteers, and vendors to ensure all activities are on schedule.
- Collect attendee feedback and evaluate the success of the event.
- Provide comprehensive post-event reports, highlighting achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
- Bachelors degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as an event planner or coordinator, with a portfolio of successful events.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure, solve problems quickly, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in event management software and tools.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with virtual or hybrid events.
- Knowledge of contract negotiation and vendor management.
- Familiarity with marketing platforms and social media promotion.
- Base Salary: $55,000
- Quarterly bonus based on company performance
