Location: Hybrid in the DMV Area (Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia)

Full-Time: Salary

Travel Requirements: 40% local, 20% domestic

Position Overview:

HomeFree-USA is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Events Specialist to join our Events team. The ideal candidate will be based in the DMV area and will play a key role in planning and executing events that align with our organizational goals. The Events Specialist will support B2B and B2C event logistics, host virtual events, and contribute to the success of large and small-scale events. This role involves working closely with vendors, partners, and customers while maintaining the event inventory and assisting the Events team with daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing B2B and B2C events, both large & small scale.

· Attend lead generating events, manage vendor tables, and engage with prospective clients.

· Oversee logistical support, including venue setup, breakdown, and on-site coordination.

· Identify and cultivate new community engagement opportunities to drive lead generation.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, partners, and customers.

· Capture videos and photos at outreach events for HomeFree-USA’s social media accounts.

· Manage event inventory, ensuring all materials are accounted for and in good condition.

· Assist with virtual events, by creating and managing the run of show.

· Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and implement new ideas to improve productivity and event success.

· Assist in developing event strategies and timelines to ensure goals are met.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· At least 2 years of professional event planning experience, including leading virtual events.

· Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed (40% local, 20% domestic).

· Ability to lift 50 pounds for event setup and breakdown.

· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Communications or a related field preferred.

· Experience using project management software and virtual event platforms.

· Being fluent in Spanish is a plus—it would be great to have this skill on our team!
