The Exclusive Brand Specialist will lead strategy and execution for brand growth and market positioning, emphasizing cross-functional collaboration and creative marketing initiatives.
Job Summary:
The position of Exclusive Brand Specialist will lead strategy and execution for Exclusive Brand growth, margin targets, and market positioning through business intelligence, cross-functional collaboration, sales training, and creative marketing initiatives.
This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act and shall not be entitled to overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 in any one work week. The Exclusive Brand Specialist will be accountable to, and supervised by, the Director of Sales for their region.
Responsibilities:
- Utilizes business intelligence data to set strategy and action plans to achieve case growth targets in all Exclusive Brand product categories
- Utilizes business intelligence data to set strategy and action plans to achieve margin targets in all Exclusive Brand product categories
- Is the ambassador of all EB Brands and works in the field with the sales team to train Account Executives on the application of our brands and their value to our customers
- Conducts product cuttings with customers and at our sales meetings to demonstrate our quality features and benefits
- Works with the corporate Marketing and Purchasing departments to ensure our EB products and price points are positioned correctly in the marketplace
- Maintains an eye on the competitive landscape and communicates any product gaps or new trends in the marketplace
- Executes our EB brands messaging electronically and through print materials for all promotional activities to drive the brand narrative
- Supports and designs any food show or marketing events to support our EB brands image
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years of experience in sales, brand management or brand marketing
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally
- Experience managing a brand across multiple states and diverse clientele
- Creative thinker and problem solver
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Project management experience, with a solid understanding of project management principles and techniques
- Strategic thinker able to identify long-term opportunities and trends
