QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or higher, minimum five years of experience in a leadership role within Social Services, Missions, Church, or Operations, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Must be a committed Christian with a strong understanding of the Bible.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide vision and leadership, develop and oversee program management, manage staff and volunteer leadership, engage with the community, offer spiritual care and support, and collaborate with the Board of Directors for strategic planning.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Executive Director will lead the Community Rescue Mission, ensuring its financial and operational health through strategic planning, program management, and community engagement, while upholding the organization's faith-based values.
Job Summary
The Executive Director works under general supervision of the CRM Board of Directors and is responsible for providing leadership, analysis, planning, implementation strategies, control and evaluation strategies to ensure the financial and operational health for the Community Rescue Mission and future endeavors as agreed upon by the Board of Directors.
Essential Duties:
1. Vision and Leadership
- Provides vision and leadership to fulfill the goals of the organization.
- Implements the vision of the Board of Directors and works with the Board in the creation of a strategic plan.
- Champions the strategic plan and ensures it is implemented, monitored, evaluated and results are reported out to the Board of Directors.
2. Program Management
- Develops the budget for the Board of Directors in coordination with the treasurer approval, ensuring the financial health of the organization is protected.
- Foster a culture of compassion, excellence, and Christian service, while ensuring that the organization’s faith-based values are upheld in all programs and interactions.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Serves as liaison between program Team and Board of Directors.
- Oversee planning, implementation and evaluation of programs and services.
- Ensures risk management strategies are in place to mitigate negative exposure to the Board of Directors, Staff, Guests, Donors and the assets of the organization, including reputation.
- Ensures the policies and procedures are reviewed and revised.
- Responsible for supervising the property to provide safety and oversight, overseer of the clients of the mission for any emergencies and problems that may arise.
- Report any issues (IE, problems with building and/or property due to damage or regular wear and tear) by contacting appropriate personnel if repairs or maintenance are needed. Document shelter maintenance and supply needs and contact proper vendors.
- Oversees day-to-day finances of organization and budget and provides monthly and yearly financial reports to the Board of Directors and grantors as needed with the assistance of the accounting firm. Reconcile credit card activity with receipts and authorizations and forward to accountant.
3. Staff and Volunteer Leadership
- Creates a strong Team to ensure the smooth operations of the day-to-day business.
- Covers shifts and ensures shelter is covered and maintains scheduling of personnel.
- Responsible for developing a robust volunteer program while coordinating all volunteers and scheduling weekly.
- Responsible for supervising weekly donation pick-ups and working with outside organizations to establish donations options and programs.
- Coordinate payroll with outside payroll service.
- Assign initial access and maintain master list of employees related usernames, passwords, keys and access cards necessary to employee’s role.
- Collaborate with MyHRProfessionals (SPMI) on performance evaluations and disciplinary actions and payroll issues.
- Verifies personnel files are updated and complete with outside vendor SPMI.
- Ensures the job descriptions are reviewed and revised annually.
4. Community Engagement
- Ambassador and liaison with all key partners in the community on behalf of the CRM.
- Manages community complaints ensuring quality improvement strategies are created, implemented and monitored for the benefit of all.
5. Spiritual Care and Support
- Provides spiritual leadership to staff, volunteers and the families served.
- Is an active participant in a local church.
6. Board Collaboration
- Works with Board to create and update a strategic plan.
- Creates the Annual Report for the Board of Directors.
- Other duties as delegated by the Executive Board of Directors to meet the needs of the CRM.

Job Specifications
1. Faith Based Leadership: A committed Christian with a strong understanding of the Bible and the ability to integrate faith into all aspects of the organization.
2. Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher.
3. Experience: Minimum five years’ experience in a leadership role of Social Services, Missions, Church or Operations; and a proven track record of meeting timelines and budgets. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
4. Skills: Ability to communicate effectively, manages time efficiently, and use computer skillfully. Ability to demonstrate sensitivity and compassion toward a vulnerable population. Ability to maintain a calm, professional presence at all times, while handling daily stress from working with individuals with complex issues.
