The Assistant Manager is responsible for the day-to-day activities and operations of the restaurant, assisting the General Manager in guiding the team to create a positive guest experience, ensuring the successful implementation of Cowboy Chicken initiatives and programs, assisting in achieving or exceeding all established financial sales and profitability plan, all banking, and administrative responsibilities.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:
With the direction of the General Manager, assists and executes the following:
  • Serve as a role model for customer-first behaviors according to company standards.
  • Build a team of customer-focused employees through coaching and measurement.
  • Handle difficult customer situations professionally.
  • Handle any customer complaints/concerns.
  • Respond to customer inquiries on a timely basis.
  • Answer telephone in a timely manner and utilize Cowboy Chicken greeting procedures.
  • Continually coaching all employees to provide outstanding service, ensuring satisfied guests.
  • Meeting goals for service, operations and financial results.
  • Enforcing restaurant controls, especially cash and inventory.
  • Maintaining appropriate staffing and preparing weekly schedules.
  • Hiring and onboarding the team.
  • Developing the team members and ensuring all are following Cowboy Chicken Operational Standards while providing an outstanding customer experience for our guests.
  • Monitoring and reinforcing safety procedures.
  • Enforcing leadership to the restaurant team to consistently meet standards of superior guest service, quality and cleanliness while embracing the Cowboy Chicken “culture”, beliefs and values to adhere to and grow the mission and vision.
  • Administering all paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Analyzing profit and loss statements and meeting established sales plan for unit.
  • Participating in catering and Local Restaurant Marketing in local trade area.
  • Maintaining awareness and participation in community affairs to take advantage of sales and public relations opportunities.
  • Ensuring the restaurant is in full compliance to all local, state and federal regulations to include health regulations, hour and wage regulations, age restrictions, fair employment practices, ADA, OSHA and any other appropriate regulations required for the legal operation of the business.
  • Ensuring knowledge, adherence and enforcement of all Cowboy Chicken Policies and Procedures.
  • Utilizing operations systems to run a great restaurant every shift, every day.
  • Maintaining and recording accurate inventory. • Understands, enforces and adheres to all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining all company operations standards and compliance.
  • Maintaining a clean facility at all times.
  • Representing Cowboy Chicken in a professional, positive manner at all times.
  • Communicating effectively any and all issues that may impact our business.
  • Delivering consistent, high-quality products daily, every shift.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Essential skills and experience:
  • High school or GED required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Experience with management, restaurant and customer service.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Pleasant disposition, sociable, accommodating nature, and enthusiasm.
  • Self-motivated, creative and adaptability.
  • Basic computer and telephone knowledge.
  • Completion of Cowboy Chicken management course upon hiring.
  • Ability to perform all related competencies outlined in the Cowboy Chicken Shift Management Training Workbook.
  • Must meet Cowboy Chicken driving standards (three-year clean driving)
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
Nonessential skills and Experience:
  • Post-secondary education is strongly preferred.

Job: Assistant Manager
Compensation: $38,000 - $48,000

Qualifications:
