Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Marketing & Advertisement, Parks, Recreation, Tourism, Sports Management, or a related field, plus two years of relevant experience. Certified in First Aid and CPR within three months of hiring. Certified Parks and Recreation Professional preferred.

Coordinate reservations for facility rentals, manage billing and budgeting, oversee inventory for concessions, assist in hiring and training staff, ensure cleanliness and safety, provide customer service, and act as Supervisor on Duty during after-hours events.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Facility Specialist for Rentals and Operations coordinates facility reservations, supports rentals management, oversees daily operations, and delivers exceptional customer service while working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Summary: The Facility Specialist - Rentals and OperationsCoordinates reservations for the party room, pavilions, and group visits. Communicates reservation details between guests and staff. Supports Facility Supervisor and Superintendent with rental reservations, reporting, billing and budgeting. Manages the rental beverage and concessions supply inventory and ordering. Assists Facility Superintendent with oversight of Tot Care and Concession Operations. Works after-hours rentals and special events, as needed. This position is part of the Supervisor on Duty rotation, which includes one weekly closing shift (Tuesday evenings) and regular rotating weekend and holiday shifts. - Coordinates birthday parties, pavilion rentals, group visits, and assists with meeting room reservations.
- Assists rental supervisor with managing catering contracts, preferred caterers and rental communications.
- Coordinates with Custodial Supervisor and staff regarding room arrangements and schedules.
- Assist with the hiring, scheduling, training and evaluation of tot care and concessions staff.
- Coordinated payroll for tot care and concession staff.
- Assists with concessions inventory and placing weekly orders.
- Maintains Serve Safe Certification and other records required by the St. Louis County Department of Health.
- Provides customer service to the general public in a tactful, professional and pleasant manner.
- Understands and enforces rules and regulations governing facility use and emergency procedures.
- Informs supervisor of all information regarding the physical facility, staff and general public.
- Disseminates information about programs, special events, facility memberships, policies and procedures in a courteous and effective manner.
- Exercises good interpersonal skills by gladly assisting others to accomplish the work of the organization, even if it is outside the scope of regular duties.
- Assists the staff in conducting programs, special events and community activities.
- Oversees daily operations, reconciles cash drawers and prepares deposit paperwork when serving as Supervisor on Duty.
· Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of facilities for health and safety.
- Inventories lost and found items.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Marketing & Advertisement, Parks, Recreation, Tourism, Sports Management or other related field, plus two years of related work experience or other equivalent combination of education and experience. Certified in First Aid and CPR, or passage of certification within three months of hiring. Certified Parks and Recreation Professional preferred.

Language and Mathematical Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of diverse people. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages.

Work Environment
The indoor environment provides for a safe and healthy work environment and is smoke and drug free. Occasionally, it may be wet and humid, as well as moderately loud. The outdoor work environment may result in exposure to extreme weather conditions such as heat, cold, and humidity.
