Position Summary

The Solano Field Marketer will implement and manage field marketing activities, in-market, to increase new members, improve cross-selling and deepen existing member relationships. This position will be responsible for creating a consistent approach to field marketing activities, overseeing the execution of field marketing responsibilities, to deliver results.
Essential Duties

For each market, the field marketing manager resides in the market and partners closely with the Market Leader to do the following:
- Define and coordinate execution of the comprehensive marketing plan according to an allocated budget and ensure resourcing prioritization to deliver the plan.
- Align the marketing plan for the respective market to Valley Strong’s 3-year strategic plan, prioritizing marketing activities that help drive the strategic imperatives for Valley Strong.
- Generate and maintain target market segmentation to understand the evolving demographics within the geographic footprint of the market.
- Leverage data and analytics to identify ‘market opportunities’ to further penetrate and grow market share across retail and business banking.
- Identify community activities where Valley Strong should maintain a presence to uphold and grow our branding and engage with our members and prospective members.
- Engage with the broader Marketing and Product teams to define ‘go-to-market’ strategies for branding and product initiatives.
- The Field Marketing team partners with business development and sales teams and assists these teams in identifying the relevant opportunities for growth and drives the marketing activities to promote our products and services to external audiences in support of business development activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

The individual must be familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures in this field, and rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have experience in field marketing activities with strong leadership skills to coach and manage a team of managers. Experience with branding, go-to-market strategies, and product marketing.
Financial services experience, a plus.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to Members and other Team Members at the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute dividends and interest.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.
