SHORT DESCRIPTION

The Front Desk Supervisor ensures guest satisfaction by overseeing the front desk operations, managing staff, handling guest issues, and maintaining compliance with hotel standards during their shift.

General Summary

The Front Desk Supervisor is responsible for assisting guests with arrival and departure from hotel ensuring the maintenance of financial controls and compliance with hotel standards. They are also responsible for overseeing staff within the department during their scheduled shift.

Primary / Key Essential Functions and Responsibilities

· Complete the registration process by inputting and retrieving information from a computer system, including confirming number of guests and room rate, make appropriate selection of rooms based on guest needs, and code electronic keys

· Verify credit cards for authorization using electronic acceptance methods. Handle cash, make change and balance an assigned house bank

· Accept and record vouchers, traveler's checks, and other forms of payment

· Accurately post charges to guest rooms and house accounts

· Coordinate with other departments to ensure quality service is provided to all guests

· Promptly answer the telephone, input messages into the computer, retrieve messages and mail/packages for guests as requested

· Promote Wyndham Hotels and Resorts and brand marketing programs

· Maintain clean and organized work environment at the front desk

· Close guest accounts at time of check out and as certain satisfaction

· Field guest complaints, conducting thorough research to develop the most effective solutions and negotiate results

· Oversee agents work and ensure it is correct

· Assist with coaching, training and disciplining as needed

· Any and all other duties assigned by the supervisor

Education and/or Experience and Qualifications

Minimum Education: High School diploma or GED

Minimum Experience: One (1) year in hospitality environment

MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH OPERA PMS.

Night Audit experience preferred
