Assist with social media campaigns and website maintenance for our Division. Responsible for creating and publishing content to grow shelter programs, to increase adoption and public awareness. Work involves gathering, writing and editing material to be released to the news media, periodicals or Department brochures and pamphlets, as well as attending and assisting with shelter events.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification.
PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE WITH:Marketing strategies; social media; journalism and/or content creation; photography; videography.
Hours: 30 Variable hours/week, including weekends and holidays; will be required to work during emergencies.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Valid Florida Driver's License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment.
Will be required to complete a "Willingness to Work" Acknowledgment with application. Selected candidate must successfully complete the pre-exposure rabies treatment/vaccination.
Florida Retirement System (FRS) benefits are offered for seasonal positions.
