SHORT DESCRIPTION

Assist in coordinating digital marketing initiatives to enhance the College's brand and stakeholder engagement, supporting overall marketing and communications plans.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Create and assist in the coordination all digital marketing efforts including social media, website content creation, digital advertising and mobile app; increase the impact and visibility of the College by building the organization’s brand and increasing stakeholder engagement through digital channels; support the overall marketing and communications plan as well as the College mission and strategic direction.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:
  • Associate degree in Graphic Design or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in digital media, graphic design, advertising or marketing-related field.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with social media content development.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing creative design, layout and typography skills.
  • Familiarity with web design principles and CMS platforms.

Preferred:
  • Bachelor in Graphic Design or a related field.
  • Experience with email marketing systems (e.g. Constant Contact, MailChimp).
  • Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Strong communications, research, creative and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with video and DSLR cameras and other related equipment.

OTHER DUTIES

Design Development:
  • Conceptualize and create marketing materials, including brochures, posters, advertisements, flyers, and social media graphics.
  • Maintain consistent visual identity across all communications while adhering to brand standards.
  • Produce customized graphics, including but not limited to logos, infographics, illustrations, and vectors.
  • Develop and update website graphics and design elements.
  • Design publications such as newsletters, reports, and programs for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in creating meeting materials, including PowerPoint presentations.
  • Ensure all designs work to support the College’s strategic plan initiatives.
Digital Content and Marketing:
  • Create and manage content for the College's website, social media, mobile apps, and email campaigns.
  • Serve on the webmaster team, responding to content update requests.
  • Collaborate with vendors on digital marketing campaigns and SEO strategies.
  • Maintain messaging for outdoor digital signage.
  • Photograph campus events and manage photography outsourcing as needed.
  • Monitor and communicate analytics for digital marketing strategies.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
  • Partner with College departments to design tailored materials.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing & Outreach team to develop comprehensive strategies for program and event promotion.
  • Work with photographers, videographers, and the studio manager on visual content.
  • Coordinate with the Duplicating department for high-quality in-house printing.
  • Traffic all advertising, sending ads to media partners in a timely fashion and ensure that ads run correctly.
  • Attending various recruitment/outreach/marketing events to promote the College.
Administrative Duties:
  • Archive media coverage and maintain a design file system.
  • Supervise work-study students in the department.
  • Serve on institutional committees as assigned.
  • Monitor competitors' strategies and stay updated on design and digital marketing trends.
  • Mitigate online reputational threats.
