Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced B2B Front End Shopify Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining our Shopify storefront, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience for our B2B customers. This role requires a strong understanding of front-end development, Shopify's platform, and the unique needs of B2B e-commerce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shopify Storefront Development: Design, develop, and maintain the front end of our Shopify store, ensuring it is visually appealing, user-friendly, and optimized for conversions.
- Custom Theme Development: Create custom Shopify themes and modify existing ones to meet the specific needs of our B2B customers. Ensure themes are responsive and provide a consistent experience across all devices.
- User Experience Optimization: Continuously improve the user interface and experience by analyzing customer feedback, conducting A/B testing, and implementing best practices in e-commerce design.
- Integration with B2B Features: Implement and customize B2B-specific features such as bulk ordering, tiered pricing, customer accounts, and personalized product recommendations.
- Cataloging: Manage and organize product catalogs, ensuring accurate categorization, descriptions, and pricing for easy navigation and searchability.
- Tier and Bulk Pricing: Develop and implement tiered and bulk pricing strategies to cater to different customer segments, enhancing the purchasing experience for B2B clients.
- Performance Optimization: Ensure the website loads quickly and performs efficiently. Optimize images, scripts, and other assets to improve page load times and overall performance.
- Collaboration with Design and Marketing Teams: Work closely with the design and marketing teams to ensure the website aligns with brand guidelines and marketing campaigns. Implement promotional banners, landing pages, and other marketing assets.
- SEO Best Practices: Implement SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings and drive organic traffic. Optimize product listings, meta tags, and other on-page elements.
- Testing and Debugging: Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the website functions correctly across different browsers and devices. Address any issues promptly to maintain a high-quality user experience.
- Documentation and Training: Create and maintain documentation for custom themes and features. Provide training and support to team members on using and managing the Shopify platform.
- Team Collaboration:
- Cross-Functional Teamwork: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, marketers, and customer support to ensure cohesive project execution and alignment with business goals.
- Agile Methodologies: Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure timely delivery of projects and continuous improvement.
- Feedback Integration: Actively seek and incorporate feedback from team members and stakeholders to enhance the functionality and user experience of the Shopify store.
- Knowledge Sharing: Share expertise and best practices with team members through regular meetings, workshops, and documentation to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in front-end development, with a focus on Shopify.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid (Shopify's templating language).
- Experience with responsive design and mobile-first development.
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices and web performance optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and project management tools.
