QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field; minimum 5 years in direct sales, with experience in B2B preferred; sales team leadership experience of 2-5 years; familiarity with OTC/FX product line is a plus.

Seeking a National Sales Manager to drive sales and strategic direction for Fun Express in the Promotional Premiums industry, focusing on customer engagement and revenue growth.
As our National Sales Manager-Promotional Premiums, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the sales efforts for Fun Express in penetrating and serving customers in the Promotional Premiums industries including; Promotional agencies, Restaurants, Hotels/Hospitality, Food Service Distributors and Fundraising. This position is responsible for formulating, directing and overseeing all aspects of the Promotional Premiums Sales organization including revenue and profitability, sales strategy, personnel maximization, strategic partnerships and P&L responsibility for a $9MM+ Business Unit.
Detailed Description:Essential Functions
- Provides overall leadership and strategic direction to the Promotional Premiums Organization
- Provide leadership and training to develop a staff Sales Representatives and Support Specialist responsible for achieving sales goals, managing and growing account relationships, prospecting, forecasting sales, negotiating contracts and handling the day to day needs of key customers
- In conjunction with the Vice President, develops and implements an annual business plan and corresponding sales and profit budget
- Responsible for meeting or exceeding budget on a monthly and annual basis
- Facilitate cross functional communications and teamwork to provide solutions to new business development opportunities
- Works closely with OTC shared services teams to develop and execute day to day business needs
- Gathers and communicates regular and accurate sales forecasts from assigned Sales Representatives
- Align and continually reassess priorities with business goals for both Fun Express and Oriental Trading Company
- Develops and executes a strong competitive position in product, price, promotion and service within the Promotional Premiums industries
- Understands the competition and develops a competitive edge through executing short and long term strategies
- Provide leadership and direction to development and implementation of sales plans to penetrate targeted industries
- Perform direct sales coverage and results for select strategic customers
- Create a positive environment to increase employee engagement and to attract and retain the level of talent needed to achieve and exceed goals
- Oversees the coordination and the preparation of tradeshows by selecting the products to be displayed, preparing all literature and giveaways, designing promotional mailings, advertisements, and signs and shipping out the products
- Develop customer programs and product for larger customers
- Ensures optimal usage & training of company software tools used by the sales organization
- Must be able to attend face to face meetings on short or little advance notice
- Work requires in-person collaboration among colleagues and contractors
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance
Marginal Functions
- Maintain high profile as “face and voice” of Fun Express in directing and attending key trade associations and trade show events
- Prepares yearly sales and marketing plan by analyzing last year’s sales results and determining the strategy needed to reach the goals for the upcoming year
- Visits customers, as needed, to present product lines, observe their operations and promote customer relations
- Develops product assortments and/or specialized packaging to meet the customer’s specifications
- Identify market needs and work with FX management team to provide profitable solutions within the scope and strength of the business
- Performs other related duties and projects as assigned or as the situation dictates

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated direct selling experience in targeted classes of trade as well as sales team leadership (recruitment, training, coverage planning and management and bottom-line results delivery)
- Understanding of full economics of business to business channels, and ability to frame business cases for types of customers, channels, products and programs
- Comfort in cold call selling situations
- Focused on end results delivery while managing processes and structures to maximize contribution
- Comfortable in range of selling situations from Board room to back room
Education
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing or business administration or related field
- Relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of educational requirements
- Certification in some generally acknowledged sales curriculum (Sandler, Communispond, PSS) preferred
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a direct selling role is required, experience selling in a B2B environment is preferred
- 2-5 years of sales team leadership and management
- Familiarity with OTC/FX product line
