Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, business administration, marketing, education, or a related field; 3 years of experience in admissions placement, recruiting, academic program planning, advising, or counseling; valid driver's license or access to public transportation.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
This position involves advising students and managing Early College programs at Great Bay Community College, working closely with high schools to enhance college access and coordinating academic offerings.
This position will remain open until filled or at the discretion of Great Bay Community College.
CCSNH has established employer status within the New England states (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island). In compliance with CCSNH policies and state regulations, eligibility for employment within CCSNH and its institutions requires residency within a New England state.
Scope of Work: Advises students and prospective students regarding college programs, enrollment, and registration and oversees the implementation of Dual Enrollment initiatives including Early College courses at high schools and GBCC. This position reports to the Vice President of Academic Affairs at Great Bay Community College.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Serves as liaison to designated New Hampshire high schools, working with school counselors and administrators to facilitate the development, implementation and continuation of early college access pathway programs for all student populations in designated high schools.
- Serves as liaison to the CCSNH Systems Office Director of College Access and NHED Programs and Initiatives and attends system-wide meetings related to Early College programming.
- Works with high school academic departments to facilitate academic course offerings.
- Works directly with the VPAA and Department Chairs on the development of high school course and program articulation agreements.
- Promotes and coordinates summer camps and matriculation activities with Admissions for middle and high school students to expose students to GBCC programs.
- Conducts informational and regular visits to high schools to promote Early College among students, faculty, and administrators.
- Coordinates course registration, testing, roster distribution, course assessment, and final grade paperwork with the College’s academic support team.
- Collaborates with the GBCC Admissions Office to promote all Early College initiatives and programs.
- Collaborates with Admissions Office and Advising to orient Early College on Campus students to GBCC and advise students on course selection and academic suitability.
- Coordinates with GBCC Vice President of Academic Affairs and Academic Department Chairs/Program Coordinators on the approval and certification process to ensure that participating secondary teachers meet the faculty standards of GBCC and confirm faculty assignments for Early College at the High School courses.
- Oversees, coordinates and distributes course vouchers for eligible secondary teachers.
- Prepares contracts for stipends for participating GBCC faculty partners of Early College at the High School offerings with follow-up to assure Early College procedures are being completed.
- Collects and maintains data related to all high school initiatives and outreach (e.g. programs offered and student performance data)
- Create and maintain electronic sites for accessibility of documents and programs to external stakeholders.
- Complies with all system, college, state and federal rules and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university with major study in counseling, psychology, business administration, marketing, education or a related educational discipline.
Experience: Three years' experience in admissions placement, recruiting, academic program planning, advising or counseling, or related field in a business or educational setting.
Licensure/Certifications: Valid driver’s license or access to public transportation.

Knowledge of admissions and academic/career advising. Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques. Ability to build relationships and maintain rapport with students, faculty and staff. Ability to communicate effectively and prepare written reports. Must be willing to maintain an appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the College appointing authority.
