Seeking a dynamic General Manager for an Extended Stay Hotel to lead operations, develop staff, and ensure exceptional customer service while maintaining profitability.
Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee our Extended Stay Hotel. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for Hospitality. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing daily operations, developing staff, and maintaining high standards of customer service.
Duties
- Ensuring all hotel staff comply with operational and service standards, in addition to hotel policies and procedures
- Training and developing hotel staff to achieve their career goals and become more successful in their roles
- Identifying strategic goals for the hotel and communicating the importance of achieving those goals to staff
- Helping resolve guest complaints and booking and billing issues
- Managing the profitability of the hotel, overseeing revenue targets and creating budgets for individual departments
- Recruiting and hiring new hotel staff to fill vacant positions
- Greeting guests and inspecting their rooms to ensure they're clean and satisfactory
- Maintaining the hotel's physical properties and arranging for repairs, if necessary
- Ensuring that the hotel meets all health, safety and security laws and regulations
- Planning and implementing hotel marketing campaigns to attract new guests
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry or similar environment.
- Strong leadership skills to lead employees and motivate everyone to work towards common goals
- Excellent financial management skills to ensure a business remains profitable
- A sound understanding of business processes and operational efficiency
- Excellent customer service skills and a genuine wish to provide guests with a pleasant experience
- A professional appearance and a calm and collected manner
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills to ensure effective operations
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills to handle the multi-faceted nature of the job
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
