Anchor Bar General Manager
Fast-paced high-volume restaurant looking for an Experienced General Manager in the Leesburg, VA area. Excellent energy, the ability to drive sales and capability to build a strong team are required. Candidate must have the ability to lead in the opening of our new Anchor Bar Franchise Location.
Position Summary
Strong communication skills & Leadership qualities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, conducting performance reviews, controlling all costs, increasing sales and projects assigned. The major accountability of the manager is to supervise and coach the restaurant team members to exceed to customers’ expectations of quality food and service. As a result, the restaurant generates increased sales and profits.
Good Managers know how to get things done and done right. They don’t always do the work themselves; instead, they rely on the skills of their team. Managers are to assign responsibilities and then provide the inspiration and motivation to help the team achieve its goals – great customer satisfaction!
Responsibilities: Perform every function in the restaurant to properly supervise all of those functions.
- Ensures adherence to policies and procedures, setting the standard for excellence in the restaurant.
- Controls food, beverage, and labor costs.
- Is responsible for building store sales and is accountable for profit and loss.
- Forecasts scheduling of entire team.
- Oversees hiring, firing, training, and scheduling of entire team.
- Arranges with Franchise Owner approval, services as necessary to make repairs and properly maintain the facility and grounds.
- Arranges with Franchise Owner approval, for preventive maintenance or repairs on restaurant equipment as necessary.
- Ensures the security of the restaurant and team members during opening and closing, and when receiving deliveries.
- Controls inventory and prepares orders as necessary.
- Conducts regular departmental meetings.
- Conducts team member performance reviews.
- Develops management and staff.
- Make necessary price changes and routing changes in POS system. Communicate all POS System change needs and / or requests to Franchise Office.
- Controls quality of food and maintains high standards of customer service.
- Complete special event and holiday recap to Franchise Owner.
- Carries out restaurant marketing, advertising, and promotional activities, and campaigns.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Franchise Owner.
Ideal Qualifications include:
- 3-4 years as a restaurant manager. Or specifically, high-volume, quality orientated, family/sports bar restaurant.
- Ability to achieve/exceed food cost, labor cost control in a high-volume restaurant operation.
- Ability to manage a P&L utilizing basic math skills. Proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Ability to operate the POS system and all restaurant daily operating systems.
- High level leadership & communication Skills. Must lead with professionalism and commit to team development.
- Hiring, development, training, and mentoring of staff and act as a resource to them.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral, and good listening skills.
- Multi tasks orientated effectiveness in a fast-paced work environment.
- Thoroughness, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
- Good decision-making ability.
- Ability to communicate effectively with associates, management, customers, and vendors.
- Ability to work flexible schedule to accommodate business levels.
- Solid track record of success in previous roles, including demonstrated career growth.
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Controls cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
