Compass Self Storage is seeking a General Manager to oversee operations at their facility in Smithfield, RI, with a focus on sales, customer service, and property management.

Our company is in search of a General Manager for our self storage facility in the Smithfield, RI. Weekly hours are: Mon- 9am-5pm, Tues- Thurs 10am - 2pm, Fri- 9am-5pm, Sat.-9am-5pm, Sun - 10am-2pm
We are looking for individuals to join our team with sales, customer service, retail, restaurant, marketing or property management experience. We are open to a wide variety of candidate background experiences, while those associated with direct contact with the public are a plus.
The candidates must possess the following character traits: Energetic, Enthusiastic, Self-Motivated, High Integrity, Outgoing & Confident, Team Player, Customer Service, Positive Attitude. Must be able to work weekends. No evening or night hours required! Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Closing sales on inbound calls and walk-in customers and converting inquiries into rentals; Assist customers with determining storage needs, start to finish; Understanding property goals to attain revenue goals; Sell related merchandise (locks, boxes etc...); Offer insurance products to protect customers stored property; Manage calls and collecting on delinquent accounts; Attend local marketing and networking events; Make weekly bank deposits; Other property asset protection tasks including general housekeeping; as well as clerical and administrative duties.
Our positions offer a unique life and work balance. This position will start at $18-$20.00 per hour pay based on experience. Our managers earn an average of $3-4/hr in bonus incentives each month in addition to their hourly rate. Our Managers have all evenings off. We do not schedule or expect an individual to work more than 40 hours in a week. Bonus opportunities have no ceiling, are based on property performance, and are paid monthly. We offer paid time off and 401(k) benefits.
