The salary range for this role, based in Kentucky is $138,000.00 to $172,500.00. The range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate’s experience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.
Objective
  • Contributes to Global category sourcing strategy and supports category roadmap development and implementation.
  • Develops programs to maximize value creation along 4 main lenses, including margin improvements, best security of supply and quality practices, Sustainable sourcing and innovation.
  • Creates efficient internal processes and maintains structured communication matrix with PR affiliates and central functions.
  • The position reports directly to the Global Category Director.
Responsibilities & accountabilities
  • Supports the development of the Global Pernod Ricard category strategy.
  • Develop medium term category strategy, beside Category Director & with local procurement teams.
  • Contributes to the definition of roadmap to deliver objectives along 4 sources of value.
  • Manages 1-on-1 negotiations and commercial events/tenders on regional and global scale.
  • Is responsible for execution of contracting strategy, for building category S&R roadmap to support Group Sustainability agenda.
  • Is accountable for delivery of pipeline of initiatives with margin improvement projects, driving productivity.
  • Plays a key role in supplier identification, development and relationship management.
  • Understands category market dynamics and secures good supplier intelligence.
  • Is strongly engaged in potential supplier identification, sourcing base development, and business allocation decisions.
  • Is part of strategic interface towards suppliers - builds strong and strategic relationships with manufacturers/ providers.
  • Onboards stakeholders at all levels & facilitates transversal ways of working with affiliates and corporate functions.
  • Develops effective implementation plans for global activities, follows closely with affiliates on identified local initiatives.
  • Provides escalation support to find solutions for ongoing requests.
  • Actively participates to the Pernod Ricard Procurement transformation.
  • Leads development and implementation of best practice procurement tools and processes.
  • Identifies new opportunities to reach category objectives and anticipates risks which might hinder realization of agreed targets.
Skills
  • Professional:
  • Highly experienced procurement professional with successful, multi-year track record in a procurement organization.
  • Experience from FMCG procurement organization at regional or global level.
  • Direct procurement experience is preferrable, specifically in Glass packaging.
  • Technical:
  • Experienced in building/realization of category strategy in an autonomous position.
  • Very good knowledge of sourcing processes and methodologies.
  • Advanced negotiator, developed problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal and presenting, proficient in English.
  • Practical experience and capabilities in digital & e-sourcing tools.

  • Category Director:
  • Report to and work closely with the Global Category Director to develop and execute Global Category strategy.
  • Category Manager & Analyst:
  • Work side-by-side with the other Global Category Manager & Analyst to align on and drive on-going category activities.
  • Internal Stakeholders:
  • Procurement Center of Excellence (CoE) and other HQ functions.(Sustainability, Quality, Innovation).
  • Affiliate Marketing directors & VP Ops.
  • Affiliate Procurement managers and Glass buyer.
  • Affiliate Head of Pack development.
  • Central and affiliate Finance teams.
