The Global Education Coordinator in the
Office of Global Education
(OGE) at Georgetown University is responsible for managing day-to-day administrative procedures serving more than 1000 students who apply annually to Georgetown University global education programs through OGE. The position manages these processes under the guidance of the Assistant Director of Operations and Administration. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the University’s education abroad database and online enrollment management system (Terra Dotta Software - TDS) as well as the unit’s web presence, digital strategy, and online marketing. The GEC provides advising to students on academically appropriate study abroad opportunities. Other key responsibilities include the management of application and selection processes, data analysis, and statistical reporting.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Produce and manage the central administrative calendar to coordinate office procedures and ensure smooth and timely application, review, and selection processes.
Serve as a central user for Terra Dotta (OGE’s application management software) with responsibilities for information management and maintenance, application processing, troubleshooting and case management, and reviewing and integrating new software features.
Produce internal and external statistics and reports about study abroad.
Manage the office’s digital marketing and online communications, including social media strategy and content, website editing, and curation of the office’s digital content.
Hire, supervise, and train an assigned group of undergraduate student staff paraprofessionals.
Provide direction for and supporting the office’s initial advising and campus outreach, including Study Abroad 101 presentations, team presence at campus events, and information sessions.

An academic unit under the Office of the Provost, the Office of Global Education (OGE) has a direct impact on the international character and identity of the university by providing access to academic instruction and exchange around the world. Global education is among the top priorities at Georgetown and significantly impacts the University’s reputation and ability to recruit excellent students, professors, and researchers. Over half of the university’s undergraduates participate in education abroad programs at some point during their academic careers. This Global Education Coordinator (GEC) reports to the Assistant Director of Operations and Administration and works closely with the Senior Associate Director of Affiliated Programs, the Assistant Director for Global Living and Learning Programs, and the Office of Global Education advising and program management staff. The GEC supervises student paraprofessional workers with administrative responsibilities within OGE
Requirements and Qualifications

Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
Proven ability with time management and task management
Familiarity with relevant software products, including Terra Dotta Software (TDS), Microsoft Office, Google Workplace, and Banner
Background using database management and reporting tools including Microsoft Excel
Experience with digital communications and marketing for the workplace, such as social media management, website editing, and video creation
Previous experience in a diverse work, community, or volunteer environment and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts
Familiarity with student development, experiential learning, and/or intercultural development theory and practice
Experience working, studying, or traveling abroad, with personal study abroad experience preferred
Ability and willingness to work some evening and/or weekend events

Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$20.16 - $31.30
Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
